Remember not to buy water. Carry a bottle with you that you fill up from taps. The water is good. This saves you a lot of money in the long run, because water costs as much as soda to buy. If you want water at a restaurant to save money, remember to specify that you want tap water. Remember to use the toilet when you visit restaurants, cafes or museums that have free toilets. Especially remember what he said about shopping in real grocery stores instead of kiosks or 7-eleven kind of places. Hope you have a nice trip!

Your timing is perfect. This is from Danish National News, today at 6 PM: Four out of five Copenhageners feel safe when they go out in the evening and at night. This is the highest level in the 15 years Copenhagen Municipality has measured safety, according to the latest safety survey. According to the survey, security has generally increased in the capital. In 2024, 88 percent feel safe in their neighborhood, and this is the highest level measured since 2016.

Yeah, good advices.. I know/learned after several times as a tourist in Stockholm! In anyway even as a Swede there is prioritys! 1, Strolling around in "Gamla stan", (old town)! 2, Visit "Stockholm slott", at "Gamla stan".. a verry touristic thing to do and watch "changing of the royal guard"! 2b, Its to crowded, a better place is "kungsträdgården" (Kings garden) at a bar with a beer or a glas of wine! They march there way up to the royal castell! 3, Take a "fika" in the royal castells court yard.. preferely a cup of coffe with a "Victoria cake"! 3b, Mayby go on one of the tours in the castell, it takes hours, make sure you get to a English speaking tour! 4 Take a ferry from "Slussen" to "Djurgården", and moste importante, visit Vasa museum/ABBA museum/Gröna Lund/Djurgården/Skansen! Its only a 12 hours day trip! However as a Swedish tourist in my own capitol city.. I like to be in walking distance to "Gamla stan"! In moste cases I ends up at "Södermalm", hipsters place.. or rather middle class! Its more relaxed then "Östermalm", where the elit lives! And another importante thing.. you gonna walk a lot.. its a walkable city, you need good shoes on the cobble stones! Then to the dress code.. I always travle as an "american tourist" cargo shorts, trainers, t-shirt and baseball cap! Its mostly at "fine dining resturants" at the evening one have to dress up!

Hi Dar! 🙋‍♀️🇸🇪☀️ Tips for a few different hostels on boats in central Stockholm. 1. Af Chapman, on Skeppsholmen 2. Rygerfjord, on Söder Mälarstrand 3. Den röda båten, on Söder Mälarstrand 4. Gustaf af Klint, on Söder Mälarstrand 5. Dockside Hostel, a house by the sea in Gamla stan.

Like he said the Swedish krone is pretty weak, so just be aware, that even though we have kroner as currency in both our countries, your buying power will be greater in Sweden than Denmark. While 10$ is about 105 SEK, 10$ is only about 70 DKK. This makes me wanna go to Sweden now, for a bit more value for my money too 🤣. All the best from Denmark ❤

if you want to eat a picnic outdoors in Sweden. Popular to sit in a nice park, on nice summer days. Then I usually go to a grocery store (such as ICA or COOP) There is a pic and mix salad bar, or buy with some hot grilled chicken, it can be a nice but also cheap experience.

Prices in Stockholm are much higher than here in Gothenburg.. At least 20-30% higher... And remember cash is NOT king in Sweden... So don't exchange a lot of money when coming here. Some is always good to have.

Id say, spend one day in a city outside o stockholm, to me o regular sweden. train tickets are cheap.
