This is the second part of an American Robin bird nesting in our porch. The female bird incubates the eggs while the male serves as a guard and brings food for the family. Two of the four eggs hatched. The short video ends with the birds aggressively defending and protecting the nesting area. A third video will be released soon as the chicks fledge or leaves the nest.

Hahaha 😂😂 Dad's like, "give me the worm, I'll get them to eat".... and then after one try, gives it back to mom and says, "Well, I've done everything i can do" 😂😂😂

Yeah most of the time the cat is inside the house.

They're under great threat from highly aggressive sparrows. Sparrows?? I know, heard Robin danger/warning calls one day, sparrows and robins disputing over nesting sites, all quiet the next day. I walked towards the disputed area and found a dead robin with a deep gouge into the brain through the eye. Sad, ugly. Effing sparrows. Also have seen starlings harass robins out of several nesting sites at another location, and I would get one or two down the chimney every year, once with a peregrine falcon! They kinda beat the snot out of each other, trying to fly up the chimney, all sooty. Had to replace the screen to keep 'em out. I have to admit that they can be very entertaining with all the different whistles and what not, chattering away on his lonesome. Thank you for the video! Do they freak out when you go in and out of your door? I had a successful brood of mourning doves one year. Loved hearing them call.

As much as possible we don't use the main door so that we'll not disturb the Robins

Why is that cat outside? During nesting season,ALL cats should be kept indoors! A well fed cat,kills for the fun of it! Pity!

Yeah, think of all the time spent playing with kitty, having it chase something or other tied to a string, training to hunt is what it is. It's their instinct, all cats have that behavior, and yes, even well fed cats do it. Bell the cat.

This is a great video, but why is the cat outdoors? Domestic cats kill billions of birds every single year. They aren't native and are meant to be kept inside. Letting them wander around outside is basically letting an invasive species prowl around to kill native species. I don't mean to be harsh here, and I love and own cats myself, but all cats kill birds even if you the owner never see the evidence. That being said, I hope you continue to post videos. They're really beautiful

Did the cat eat the chicks once they fledged and were land bound?? Seems like the cat kept revisiting for a chance.. what happened to chicks ? They didn't make it did they?,.. call it a hunch..
