They also eat carrion, small animals and birds, insects, anything they can find. That's why I don't like them around, they steal birds' eggs and baby birds and drive others away. They run along the power lines and get in attics, chewing through wires and causing power outages... nope, don't need them around, they're just trouble.

These birds do it right, Pigeons are the worst at nesting because they do it on peoples property and leave behind a huge pile of poop.

Because pigeons are technically domestic animals and used to rely on people to survive. They have very little natural instincts.

They love peanut butter. I've been feeding one for over a year now. He brought a female companion to join the feast. Little guy didn't wait for me to put it down, he grabs it right off the knife before I spread it sometimes

Thank you for making this interesting film. Such a hardworking little attentive bird mother. When you lifted the roof I was scared she would abandon her nest but she didn’t. She was so smart the way she fit the bigger sticks in there like Tetris.

This needs some corrections and info. This is not a couple, they are young siblings, around 5 months old. Greys are solitary. One of them is sick or injured, resting most of the time. The nesting box is not predatory safe, it needs 2 access point, one up high, one on the other side down low. Squirrels will flee when a racoon arrives. When there is only one entrance, they will run right into the claws. Don't use any screws or nails on the inside, they will chew the wood around it and get hurt eventually.

We just discovered that the birds nesting in one of the vents to our house are house wrens. We live in southeastern MA. Really enjoying learning about them. Definitely makes me remember my grandma and aunt Joan, they were avid birders. Ill be 44 this june and really loving this part of beint an adult❤

I have a question. When two or three squirrels build a nest together to sleep, it means they are family, a couple to pass winter, or they can stay together even if they are from other families as a form of survival? These two seems a couple or two family members staying together.

It’s funny how the one squirrel is just sitting there almost looks like it’s sleeping while the other squirrel is super active and excited to decorate and get things done. Not sure if it’s a mates pair or just friends but it reminds me of how human couples are when they move into a new home. The man is usually laid back but the wife is eager to decorate and busy planning how to renovate and make the place seem “homey”. The busy squirrel would be the wife in this scenerio
