No it's not. I hear about it first time. But it makes sense, when I think about it. Cos I worked in international company with different people. Americans have this thing with pretending and hypocrisity, all of theis small talks, smiling to your face but thinking different, all of this is in american culture. And I don't say it's a bad thing, it's just what it is.
@trashcanjoe4902

@@LSG101097 universal doesn’t mean that every single person out there has heard of it, it just means widely accepted by many different cultures. An individual not knowing of it does’r change it’s universal status. And are you really trying to tell me that EVERYONE besides Americans uses the exact same voice and tonality for every situation, and does _not_ try to present themselves in the most professional way when needed? So everyone besides Americans acts completely natural and professional always?

The last drink he asked if I knew how to prepare was an AMF. I never heard of this drink and all I could think about was bowling pins. I told him I was a fast learner and that once i made it I could learn to prepare the drink he requested. He thanked me and said he would contact me if I was to be hired. That Business Voice is awfully southern, I approve. But as most people say, it's a general thing. I call it the salesman's voice. And I've used it so many times it's sickening, I change dialect, and I speak concisely and it does help getting your words across, especially as I live in a nation where I can take a 40 minute drive and feel like I've entered a different nation. I mean they'd be speaking my natural dialect, but still, most people if they went to my region of my nation, no matter wherefrom they are, they'd have quite the difficulties understanding us. So for ease of communication, it's useful. I mean, I'm kind of glad I had a vocal coach as a kid, because despite not having a speech impediment, a lot of the consonant sounds in my so called "native" language doesn't exist in my dialect. consonants such as r, k, t...

English is the most flexible language in the solar system. You can use the word get to express a ton of different actions. And any word for that matter..

solar system... alright. I'm a native half blood Turkish-Persian speaker who literally LOVE'S English language. and every other aspect it refers to. culture, history, geography, civilization... but Solar System?! not so sure now I know it was just a "from heart" kinda devotion to that but speaking of Flexibilty; Are you any familiar with Arabic? Turkish? Hebrew? oh and Russian?!? these 4 are just totally different stories. I mean no one and no written/translated script can convey my point here -_- you gotta study and learn the language, then dive into its literature and linguistics... I promise, your perception of "languqhe flexibilty" will change ^^ please don't get triggered by my words ok? I only and only meant to impress my passion about LANGUAGES. :)
