If college professors learned this, do you think it would cut down on the amount of overeducated idiots we have? I married two different women, both college grads. I had to divorce both of them because I don't deal well with stupid. I'm a highschool droppout, and couldn't tolerate the amount of stupid that came out of thier mouths on a daily basis. There's physics involved. I don't want to go into details but it will always land jelly side down unless you drop it from less than a foot height, because then it doesn't fall far enough to turn, or from more than 7 feet high, because then there's enough space for a complete turn.

@@Genevieve1023 Absolutely do they not try hard anymore. An announcer will present a comic as "one of the greatest of all time", and then the audience is presented with a 1h 30min show, barraged of m***f***, sh**, f** (lots and lots of f***), ni****, cu***, pu***, etc. Somehow, the majority of the audience ends up laughing 'uncontrollably' when most of the lines are not even funny or witty. For me, it gives me a mental headache and a sense of dread that somehow, the common working man can relate only to profanity and crude sex jokes to forget their worries and feel happy. With these comics, there is no balance and variety in their approach. Just the same algorithm with every new comedy special that they release.

@@mishaanton5436 You can find tutorials on just about pretty much anything. Experience is always the best teacher. I can repair most anything and do just about anything to a house. Of course I’ve been in construction my whole life. I do occasionally run into something I need help with and jump on the internet. Usually watch several of them and some reviews to tackle the job most efficiently. Plumbing and electrical are two things that need mostly just a little knowledge. However, some of it is super simple. Just need to pay close attention to what you’re doing. My Bose Wave Radio CD player quit working and I found a super simple video on how to fix it. The potentiometer needed to be tweaked slightly. It showed exactly where it was and what to do with it. I’m rockin and rollin again! Maybe one day you can say “honey, I’ll fix the kitchen sink or the toilet!” Some things are just not that hard. Give me a shout if you ever need advice on something. Now go fix that leaking faucet. Lol

You are right, and they are not the same; I loved Bill Cosby's stuff as a kid, and it was very clean. Steve Martin was never dirty, but hysterically funny. But I think too many people think if it's dirty, it isn't/can't be funny. Richard Pryor was probably the funniest human being ever. Don't exclude either one. This guy, Don McMillan, was excellent, and very entertaining!

@Artem Down *contrary to popular belief, playing the lottery isn't necessarily irrational.* same energy as this- *Because the winning candidate gets over 50% of the votes, which means over 50% voters are on the winning side.* therefore *technically, you have OVER 50/50 odds of winning when voting (in a two party system)* I feel like there is a subtle difference between trolling and shitposting that isn't quite encapsulated by these 2 posts and that conclusion. Where is the appropriate Venn Diagram.....?
