I actually became a trucker after playing this game, I know a lot of guys do. It actually prepared me a bit, but I'd rather play the game than get harassed by the public and police for things I'm not not responsible for, or shouldn't be responsible for. I gained 40 lbs just from the stress of that life. But I made good money and learned work ethic.

I'm sure there are quite a few. You can take the man out of the life, but you can't take the life out of the man. Health issues forced me to retire early and I play this game every day. Still running a keyboard because I don't have a good way to set something like this up at the moment. Worn out a Logitech MK520 already. Had grooves in the keys LOL

I could never be a full time truck driver. In game I’m going 90 in a 60 going on the shoulder and cutting traffic with a trailer on the back. Only time I stop is when I get to my destination or gas.

Buy a th8a shifter from thrustmaster, buy a ling metal pipe and attach a shift know at the end

What this other guy said. Get a Fanatec shifter, some metal pipe, and an Eaton Fuller shift knob. Wire up the Fuller to have working range selectors and you’re set

Pretty realistic, I think. I wish the time compression was more uniform and it actually followed real HOS. I hear there's a mod or two for this though.
