picked up a bit of fierceness, dropped the guitar, gave it to the crowd. She is a little tentative but was a little more relaxed than before. Love her voice, very limericky. Memorable.

Emmy is a joy to watch and listen to. Her voice always takes you on a journey. I can't help but smile when she sings. She truly connects in a way very few artists are able to. This was her most animated and fun performance

For those mystified by Emmy's success on Idol, I point to her original song "Skinny". She's performed it on two different shows, and I think it has won her a huge fan base. She's never going to sell out stadiums with that stage presence, but she's a damn good songwriter.

I think the was her best performance. I don’t know the song, but her performance was better than her previous performances. More control, more confidence and more relaxed. I don’t know if she is the best singer, or performer, but this was her best overall. Regardless of America Idol she can have a big career in country music.

So I wanted to see what all the hype was about Loretta Lynn’s granddaughter on American Idol … I’m not a fan of the show but appreciate talent, while I think her voice was pleasant I really didn’t feel like it was fantastic or have that wow factor that gives you goose bumps.

There’s a difference between covering a song and trying to be something you’re not. If she’s singing it in the same style as blink 182 it wouldn’t be her style. She’d be unauthentic. A cover is meant to be in your style. Which is what she did. Beyoncé coming out of left field with a fake “country” album and this cover aren’t comparable. Beyoncés album is unauthentic while this cover is in her style so it is
