I’d rate Zlatan as a top 3 striker of his era. Only Messi and CR7 were arguably better. What makes Zlatan stand out though is how he scores. Almost every goal is a highlight reel goal and many of them are stuff you have never seen anyone else do. He is also unusually skilled for a big player and unusually big for a skilled player. He did taekwondo in his youth and has a black belt. That’s probably where some of his odd kicks come from. He also had the wonderfully skilled Ronaldo (the real one, from Brazil) as his hero growing up and spent hours trying to copy different moves he had. Well, Ronaldo and Muhammed Ali. He got his trash talking from the latter.
