You can only run fast when you've got space before you. You can't run fast while you've got 5 or 6 players before you. That's where this guy comes in. He's that technically skilled that he'd find space in a phonebooth with 6 players in it. You should watch a couple of football games and you'll get it. Pace is important when you're counter-attacking. When you play possesion based game, its all about finding spaces. So creative passing and skill are more important than.

Don’t kill me when I say I think Dembele from a technical perspective is better than Mbappe. Mbappe is more clinical in front of goal though. But I think people now a days don’t understand how crazy/rare it is for a player to be truly truly ambidextrous. Santi Carzola is another wild player arsenal should have gambler and kept him lol

Agreed.. Dembele is one of the most 2 footed players I've seen.. Comfortable in almost every aspect.. Shooting Passing Crossing Dribbling.. Only other player recently I can say I've seen is about as 2 footed is Mason Greenwood at United.. Both quality players.. Shout out to Santi too.. Great player

Y’all gave me ear cancer talmbout he’s not quick, some of the best dribblers were not quick, Iniesta, Zidane, Bergkamp, Riquelme. And there’s absolutely nothing textbook from him, he does the most unpredictable shit in the simplest way, he did suck at passing and shooting overall and that’s just it. But one of the most entertaining players in his generation for sure.

To understand the brilliance that was Adel Taarabt, you have to watch how close he keeps the ball to his feet. Yes, he was never a fast player, by any means, but what he had was an unwavering first touch and the silkiest of touches that anyone had seen in a while. What makes him so unique is that he would look for the ball in the areas where he could take on players 1 on 1 and he would break them down and make very quick touches on the ball to get around the defender. He would break them down to the point where he made them look silly. What made him legendary was the amount of times he could get past defenders in the sauciest way possible, a joy to watch back in the day

And he is quick in that split second he pulls of the skill move, you wont be able to beat defenders if you are all around slow no matter how sick the move is. You have to have enough quickness to fool the defender.

Textbook couldn't be farther than what he was. He was what we call a flair player, with an uncanny ability to beat an opponent. Shame that a bad temperament, poor carrier choices and lack of discipline prevented him to have a career most fitting to his potential. You don't need to be a speed merchant to go past players and it's a disadvantage if you only rely on it, especially in the latest stage of your career. He's not quick in terms of speed but he's insanely fast at putting out his skills.

He has quick feet, and smooth deceptive dribbling skills. His nutmeg count in this video is ridiculous, and no one wants to be megged. That's a testiment to his "handles". Not text book. His running speed is average tho, which is why he was not dominant in the Premier league.
