Jin not abusing his power of being the oldest isnt because RM is the leader, but because the members and him are very close. His reasoning is there's no point in trying to deem himself as better when they're all like brothers and power can set a division between that, but despite all that, Jin is still the eldest and it's just korean mannerism for the younger members to treat him with respect.

an idol is basically someone that’s doing kpop, rappers in korea that aren’t in groups don’t consider themselves kpop because they only do rap and they’re mostly underground so basically idol rappers get looked down upon for abandoning the hip hop scene, saying because they wear makeup they’re not real rappers and all that. it’s ridiculous really also can y’all watch bts from nobodies to legend part 1&2?

To clear few things about Jin part, when Jin first joined Bighit he only joined with the intention of becoming an actor since he was a theater major student but was persuaded to join bts, he had no experience in singing or dancing at all that's why he felt so behind compared to the other members so he worked extra hard to catch up to the other members (Their vocal trainer said that Jin was her best student his voice rather than improving it completely transformed) he also helped produce few of BTS's songs, Jin is a hard worker but never let it show or brag about it, when they're done practicing he stays behind to keep practicing, he was seen practicing in his hotel room, sometimes stay awake past 3am practicing (he once said that your efforts are yours to know) this man is very dedicated and a hard worker and the deserves that recognition ............................................... this is just to give the right introdution he deserves

It pisses me off that Jin only had 3 mins in that whole video. He’s more than just “worldwide handsome” and dad jokes guy. He’s actually a hard ass worker w so much versatility and they didn’t get into him at all

BTS has tons of freedom about their music. Since even before debut until now, they have release tons of covers, free self composed songs at their official soundclouds and all are actually really high quality. And they mentioned during grammy museum interview that they compete with each members and also their company producers who can come out with best beats, melody, concept, etc. And BTS is also known for their team chemistry. They complete with each other. They treat each other like family.

Actually there are some information in the video needs to update tho 1. RM's studio now is called Rkive 2. On October 23, 2018, RM released a new mixtape called "mono" 3. Thank you so much for being so open-minded! BTS are undeniably hardworking and talented and never forget their fans or where they came from. I was shook when I learned this but from the very start, BTS received hate (for no reason). Their name is "Bangtan Sonyeondan" ("Bulletproof Boyscouts") and that's because they were formed to shield people from prejudice, stereotypes, and repressions to protect their values and music. However, people laughed at their name and made fun of them even from the beginning. We usually just know them as "BTS" though.

In Korea, u really have to give respect to your elder ones. if u dont use a respectful vocabulary to an elder, u will be called "uneducated kid" or "disrespectful" but Jin is very kind and open minded to everyone so even the older people likes his personality wh8ch makes him everyone's fav

Sorry, I read some of these comments and I think I need to 'splain some stuff. In Korea, Kpop is called Idol Music and in the past it has been looked down upon. You see, Kpop is not really a genre of music, but a separate industry. It comprises beauty, fashion, music and dance -- and performers are called idols because they are supposed to represent all aspects. This is why BTS caught so much flak in the beginning. First, RM and Suga were leaving 'real' music for idol music. Very few idol groups produce or even have a say in their own music, but are 'handed' songs to do by their entertainment companies. BTS is an exception to this. Second, BTS didn't appear like any idol group ever. (Korean beauty standards are pretty strict, which is why so many Kpop groups have a 'generic' quality to western eyes.) Third, a kpop hip hop group? Never been done. (Yes, some idol groups have performed hip hop numbers... an idol group debuting as a hip hop group? No one knew how to take it. They were raw and gritty compared to the polished idol groups of the time. So, BTS had a hard time in the beginning.

If you're interested in listening to more of their rap (RM, Suga, J-Hope), I recommend checking out RM's "Joke", J-Hope's "Base Line", and Agust D's "Agust D", and "Ddaeng" (with RM/Suga/J-Hope). :") The members all have their own distinctive styles and are so versatile.

In all of kpop you have a designated leader usually based on who is oldest but that isn't true for many, RM is actually the middle eldest member

I've been a fan of KPOP since I was in elementary school (I'm 21 now) but BTS is really different from the others. Words are understatement to describe what BTS is but I can say that BTS is definitely a breath of fresh air not just in KPOP but also to the whole music industry.

They all also come from really humble beginnings. Something we love about them is how they have been able to remain humble even though they are achieving all these things and so successful. They don’t come from a well known company which is why they used to be cut from Korean shows (which they just recently decided to start posting 6 years later). It’s amazing and a whole different relationship that BTS and ARMYS have together. Also they just renewed their contract with the company so we have 7 more years with BTS💜 and I’ll be here for all till the end

Idols are basically artist who are in the Kpop industry. Idols are artists who are looked up to because they are supposed to be “perfect” (I mean perfect as in fitting the Korean beauty standard, being smart, kind, and having many talents)

When is spoke about Jin being the oldest it said that he has the most authority but he doesn’t abuse it. He doesn’t make the other members feel inferior because he is the oldest. he doesn’t let him being the oldest get in the way of the teams he’s more laid back and him and the members are all close and understand each other.

I’m about to write a huge essay, so be warned. This is just some more info and tidbits on BTS so far from your reaction! First, some info on idol groups. Celebrities in kpop are simply called “idols.” They all do many different genres. Nearly all idol groups have a leader, but the leader doesn’t necessarily have the most lines or is the “better” or “favorite” member. The leader is mostly just in charge of, as the video said, member to member and group to company interactions, and also speaks a bit more in interviews and press conferences. RM also takes part as producer, so he has a huge influence on BTS specifically in different ways. Some groups have no leader due to choice or because of smaller size. Also, idol groups have always danced-dancing was not a new concept or a decision made because Hoseok (J-Hope) joined. However, he makes a fantastic and talented addition to BTS’s dancing and he does help with choreography. BigHit, BTS’s company/label, has an in-house choreographer, Son Sungdeuk. Sungdeuk does a lot of BTS and BigHit choreography, but they also have many other choreographers who are hired (you may recognize Keone Madrid, who has done a LOT of BTS choreography). In regards to each member joining BTS, it was through different auditions depending on the member. RM was the first member of BTS, as the video said, in 2009-2010. You may remember that BTS debuted in 2013. That means, they had their first album release and began performing. All k-pop idols begin as trainees, where they practice and learn singing, dancing, and/or rapping. During the time of BTS forming before 2013 and after RM joining, BigHit was working on the group concept and the members. RM and Suga joined through auditions that was BigHit’s competition (called “Hit It!” They still have these auditions, if you begin to follow BTS social media all over, you may see posts about it). J-Hope joined in a bit more complicated process, but he was still a trainee after he auditioned and passed (you have to pass auditions to be a trainee). Jin, the eldest, was scouted after being seen getting off a bus, but it wasn’t an easy-in. He still worked very hard to learn dance and vocal skills, and he’s become so talented and has such a gorgeous voice. He also had to have months of training, and being scouted actually meant he was asked to audition. I’ll probably have more to say for part two! I’m sorry lol but I have subscribed. You guys are so funny and so into it, thank you for having an open mind and appreciating BTS and kpop!

The main thing about BTS is that they are not like any other kpop group or boyband . They are so unique to a lot of people . Not just teenage girls but guys as well and adults . BTS writes and produce music that address deep meaning and messages and have lessons . They address social issues : hate , oppression, discrimination, mental health , suicide, bullying, government, etc . South Korea where their from has mental health and suicide problems which usually starts at a young age . That’s why their a voice for the youth. Topics like these are considered “Too PC” to address in korean media . However BTS takes a stand against it and use their music and platform to do more good things and spread awareness . BTS music has also covered topics such as self care , self love , self hate and self acceptance and women empowerment. They work hard to show “Music has the power to transcend & translate messages regardless of your race , gender , age or religion “ BTS is versatile in music genre ; hip hop , RnB , pop , edm , trap , etc .
