Raczki is the candy that your grandma gives the kids at a family party and you either eat them just so she doesn't feel bad or give them to that one weird cousin who likes them when she's not looking.

I'd say some of these are a weird choice as representative Polish sweets. It's a blasphemy there was no Ptasie Mleczko in that box. But I'm so glad you enjoyed the gingerbread, I love it too :)

Where is Ptasie Mleczko (Birdy Milk) by E.Wedel? It's like one of the best sweet things here in Poland (only with dark chocolate, those with milky one are too sweet IMO).

KIELBASA, that's the polish sausage, so good. Most polish food is delish, so many products handmade and I think that's why, but if you ever have a chance to go to an authentic Polish restaurant do it you won't be disappointed!

I love sezamki, every single type of seamki. My favorite are those thick one :)

Jaffa Cakes, Delicje in polish are one of the best cookies. Especially with white chocolate and blueberry jam. We first eat the sponge cake all around, then the chocolate on top and for the end the jelly. It's the best way. And this company is called Wedel (Vedel - eng)

As +missMHO mentioned, it's really such a shame that there was no Ptasie Mleczko, because it is really a staple sweet for Poland (some foreign companies tried to make their versions of it but they were much sweeter than those produced by Polish companies) Fun Facts about the treats you've tried Wawel is a company based in Cracow, and its name is taken from the hill where one of the royal palaces is situated (we use the name to refer to this particular palace itsels too): wawel.krakow.pl/en/ The traditional Prince Polo is not hazelnutty, it's chocolate and covered in dark chocolate (the ones covered in milk chocolate and having different taste are newer) The Supreme Jaffa Cakes are actually known as Delicje and they come in many flavours, [they are no that cheap actually (the "fake versions" are much cheaper), I guess the jelly could be weird but most of us eat this since childhood, so...; also we don't really have stockings ;)] The Paluszki are from Lajkonik, a company famous for producing various pretzel-snacks. E.Wedel Jaffa Cakes aren't cheap and aren't expensive. They're normal. Usually whenever you go visiting your friends, your family you'll see it on the table for sure. I never buy it myself but I enjoy it when it's served to me when I'm visiting someone.

The Jaffa cookies are really only good from delicje brand and not the cherry flavor. You're right that they are given to people but not for Christmas, when you just go to their house to talk for coffee and tea. Never go empty handed into a Polish person's home And we have the gingerbreads filled with jams and covered in chocolate too.

These "Toruńskie pierniki" are from the best with apple filling. I think that you didn't figure this out guys, but the brand name is Copernicus (yeh, this guy who brings up the theory of sun in the centre - he was from Toruń :)) Greetings from Poland :)

E. Wedel (read Vedel) is the best brand in Poland. It has a lot of history. Their jaffacakes (Delicje) are super tasty [in my opinion] but at the same time, they're not expensive and good quality. That's why Poles love them. There is no comparison between the Wedel Jaffacakes and the cheap ones.

The stick candy you are talking about are Chico sticks. The orange candy sticks? I love them lol.

The jam-jello sponge cookies are actually not necessarily cheap nor expensive, it depends on the brand. You get them in different flavours and they are quiet popular in Poland (you can also get them in Germany).. Btw I'm German-Polish but I do agree that they are funny to eat to put it nicely. I also do prefer the sponge over the, in my opinion, much to sweet jello but lemon flavour the lemon ones I get here in Germany are awesome

We don't treat delicje as a cheap gift or sth but we always do seperate jelly from the sponge cake, it's like only right and polish way to do it :D
