possible missionaries, especially the Mormons who are known to undergo language training (of their assigned areas) before sent to their missions.

I think they served here in the Philippines as full-time missionaries of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. :)

Firstly: you guys are IMPRESSIVE being able to learn the local language in just a few months/ years and still retain most of it. yeah sure theres an accent and some of the grammar is wrong, but hey we understood pretty much everything y'all have been saying 👍👍 Secondly: you guys are on average to slightly better at Philippine geography than most Filipinos born and raised in the Philippines 😅. so yeah PINOY nga kayo good job! 😂

Even general Filipino public living in the Philippines 🇵🇭 can’t identify them. Sila pa kaha ng for a year or couple of years lang sila nakapuyo sa Pilipinas. So good job guys!

OMG! I am so embarrassed. I have totally forgotten all those regions. I just review them whenever I have to teach them. Hehehe! Kudos to the effort and sincere admiration and appreciation to all the foreigners who really took the time to study our FIlipino language and dialects. Looking forward to more content like these. Kudos to Rice Squad!

Luzon Regions: CAR - Cordillera Admnistrative Region NCR - National Capital Region 1 - Ilocos 2 - Cagayan Valley 3- Central Luzon 4-A - CALABARZON: Cavite, Batangas Rizal Quezon 4-B - MIMAROPA: Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan. @@jayvee-a5452 actually mas madali talaga imemorize yung Visayas kasi Island to island din kasi except sa Negros na nahati yung region..which I came from, pagpunta ko ng luzon nalito na ako.. lalo na yung NCR.. hanggang ngayon di ko parin memorize yung nasasakop nyang lugar..😂

Fun Fact: Aurora province, Region IV-A and B are used to be united into 1 region formally known as "Southern Tagalog". But was Abolished in 2002, dividing Southern Tagalog into two new regions, and that is known as Region IV-A And B, While Aurora province was transferred to Region 3.

This region(CAR) in the north is the most Unique Quite different in many ways from the people(especially the behavior), culture/traditions, landscape etc.

It depends on where you’re from. If you’re family is from Luzon, especially in Tagalog provinces, you really won’t speak Bisaya because Tagalog speakers do not speak Bisaya or atleast don’t bother learning the language of the south.

Til today I don't even know where Manila really is. People from Quezon City, Makati, Caloocan, Pasig, Taguig, San Juan, and Mandaluyong, all consider themselves Manileños. So I just thought is was just one big area... and then there is "METRO MANILA". Okay... I need to sit down.

To be fair, Metro Manila was the Province of Manila, which existed since 1500s and lasted for centuries that’s why they collectively call themselves Manileños, with the namesake, City of Manila as the provincial capital. The historic province of Manila was dissolved and divided into two parts with a big chunk of it being annexed to form the Province of Rizal in 1901 while the western part became independent, charter cities. The Manila province’s territories reunited in 1975 through NCR but with different type of government as it became a collection of independent cities and there’s no provincial governor.
