When i was a kid (8 or 9), I used to be scared of sleeping in my room alone. At first, it was just an uneasy feeling. Over time, it grew to be actual fear. Then the knocking on the window began. It was three taps each time. Even the two cats i had would occasionally stare at the walls and ceilings. One corner in particular. They would sometimes hiss and growl. And their tails would puff up, as if they were frightened. Other things happened. And what my mom told me when i got older really freaked me out. Maybe i should write the story down and send it in, lol.

I grew up in Jefferson County and visit my family there often. On most occasions I drive through Middleway on what are considered back roads. I recognized a lot of the places in the pictures. I'm very surprised I never knew this story. However it does explain some of the signs along the road that include crescent moons. It's still a quiet little farming town. Along what I would consider "main street" a lot of older homes (1700-1800) still stand. Although some have begun to sag.

My opinion is that something happened here but it's been highly embellished along the way. I believe in the paranormal but i dont blindly believe and there are manu questionable things that happened here, especially when you consider that its being documented mainly from religious perspectives who will always try to make themselves and their religion look superior to all others. Great content 😊

As if aetheism - which is also 100% a religion - doesn't set itself up as superior over every other belief system, with extreme arrogance, hatred and scorn on open display towards ANYONE who may believe differently! You've certainly got no room to judge others, dear Hypocrite!

I have been reading about Hauntings and the Paranormal for almost 30 years, since I was about 6 or 7, and this is one I have never heard of. VERY well done! I would LOVE an in-depth discussion of the Warrens from a balanced and unbiased perspective. And I would love the same on The Snedecker Haunting (Haunting in Connecticut). Also would love to hear about Cryptids, like The Jersey Devil and The Beast of Bray Road, etc.

Two subjects, both from my state of Maine (and less than an hours drive from my home): 1. The Carmel Haunting. 2. The Palmyra Dogmen The Carmel House in particular has some of the most convincing video and audio evidence of the supernatural that's ever been documented. Plus, I personally know several people who have been there as witness. The Dogmen... more strange than a haunting. Yet, living here for 15 years and as an avid outdoorsman, I've had to readjust my worldview multiple times due to events i can not explain, that I experienced and, unfortunately, can not forget. Events that have drawn the concept of malevolent cryptids out from the inky blackness of impossible and into the horrible clarity of possibility.
@TheTapeLibrary7 ай бұрын
Is that as in Carmel Maine? I watched that guys channel before I even started making videos, someone else said I should look into doing a deep dive on that one
@peteneblett93447 ай бұрын
@@TheTapeLibrary Yes! In Maine. I have LOADS of local ghost stories too. Bucksport Maine is right down the road from me. "Most Haunted Town in ---" either Maine or New England, depending on who you ask. The Red Paint People, a paleoarcha8x tribe, buried their dead with SOO much red ochre there, 8 tp 10 thpusand years before the Anglos, that during the first few winters, cellar walls would *bleed red* with a viscous mixture of the pigment. And bleeding walls usually equal haunted lol. Also: The Ghost of Catherine's Hill. I lived on that road. Talked to two people who have crashed due to the ghost of Catherine. It's called Blackswoods Rd. Confusing, the Black family owned a woods road, for logging abs transport. Not Blackwood, Black's woods rd. But let me tell you something personal: my interest in the paranormal started not from curiosity and reading, but seeing things others couldn't. It wasn't a desire to learn about the paranormal, it was a desire to understand what I could see that others couldn't. I mention this because the things I've seen and heard in recordings from the Carmel House are *exactly* what I've experienced, in my own life. There's plenty of fake or suspicious content online. And some is for sure real. Carmel House gets my stamp of authenticity, lol. For whatever that's worth. Lastly (I know I ramble, my apologies), I don't know how old you are, but I'll be 41 this year. I remember moving lawns to save up for a 56k modem. And also 4chan. 4chan... gets a bad wrap. Yes, you need to have your bullshit/troll filters on high alert. But it's a wide, wide net of information, and with a net that wide you catch garbage as well as truth. But I'm not really wanting to get into a debate about 4chan. I want to being up something that was on /x/. Maine Taxi Driver. There's a channel on KZfaq called [T6]. He also does Malevolent Mischief. He did a compilation reading of all of the Taxi Drivers stories, who, shockingly, was a dude that drove a taxi in Maine. Many look at it as entirely fiction. The longer I live, the less fiction I see. There's even a story in there about an island that was locked down due to an active shooter. My best friend was the next target. Well, him, and his daughter and stepdaughter and wife. My friend sat in a rocking chair for 8 or 10 hours, in his daughters bedroom. Waiting. Waiting g for the shooter to show up, and stop him. Fortunately, the cops got the guy first. The shooter actually, also almost clipped my wife's car, in one of the evasion acts he pulled, while the entire roadway was stopped for miles. Anyways, after that, I started wondering how much was real... and after multiple supernatural encounters myself, the other writings seemed less fantastic, more plausible. Especially after half a dozen friends started seeing the same things. Lmk if you want the whole stories. And drop by [T6] and tell him "Pete sent ya, and greetings friend!" Snd go listen to his reading of Msine Taxi Driver. He's a good kid, does a great job being.... suspenful and engaging, yet not over the top or cheesy. And you'll also see my "sagas" in the comments, lol.

@peteneblett9344 what do you recommend on 4chan? I'm into paleboys/crawlers. I understand there's different types of them. I want to know if they're cryptids that may be a subspecies of humanoids. I know ppl accidentally call them skinwalkers because they don't know they're different.

And I have had very few paranormal experiences, but one I did have was while camping in the Berkshire Mountains in Massachusetts. While sleeping in a tent, my girlfriend at the time (now wife), a total, complete cynic, and I, twice heard what sounded like horses galloping right past our spot, along with some kind of screeching/screaming. It was terrifying and never explained. We don't really talk about it ever.

I’ve had many paranormal experiences in my life. As I got older I realized that when you see an apparition it burns into your brain. We don’t remember someone at a stop sign or the person in front of us at a check out, but the ghost we saw we will remember our whole lives. So, if you ever see one, and you feel your brain, scrambling to figure out what you just saw, just remember, you saw the obvious, you saw a ghost.

Aaah, I have a few stories I would LOVE for you to do! Your voice is extremely relaxing to me and helps me settle down. The two stories: Savannah, Georgia. The haunted history about the town. It’s truly intriguing to learn about. And the second one, is Lake Lanier, in Georgia as well. There’s so much that has been hidden from the public about the secret town before lake Lanier had flooded it. The history is wild shall we say. Lake Lanier, flooded a town back then in the day.

This was most entertaining! I'm from NY and I love all the stories from the settlers. To imagine the lives of these families and the hardships they delt with always humbles me. TY.

I saw my first spirit at 6 years old. Ive had dozens of different experiences and two poltergeists to contend with. I predicted the death of my cousin who was my best friend, where it happened and various other details. His mother, my aunt, experienced almost the same prophetic dream, but she said it was her son but he had my face. I eventually decided I wanted no further inreractions with the metaphysical and switched off the part of my brain that was attuned.

Wow 😯 a very interesting tale.. thank you! A lot of factors come into play in this one with the Protestant, Catholic and folk magic practioners all trying to get rid of the spirit/ poltergeist to no avail.. Maybe the land there has some ancient mysteries, energies that they didn’t know how to handle.. I think some more Appalachian ⛰stories would be cool for you to cover in the future perhaps! ✌️🤓

Interesting story, I love listening to old folk horror stories like this. Honestly though, I think a lot of these "paranormal" experiences can be explained away by Catholic neighbors pulling an ongoing and vicious prank on an intolerant neighbor. This whole thing seemed to gain a lot of popularity in the area at the time it was occurring, couple that with paranoia and shared delusion due to stress, and I think we explained the whole thing.

I live in the UK and love these video stories. Especially before bed. The paranormal fascinates me. I'm all for creepy stories preferably at night. I'm going to make a warm drink, get close to my heater (it's winter here) and snuggle under a blanket. Enjoy watching these videos wherever you are in the world. I may not know you but I send you hugs ❤
