The Glacier Express in Switzerland runs through two different railways, Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn (MGB) and Rhaetian Railway (RhB). The train is connecting between Zermatt and St.Moritz, where are famous mountain resorts. One of the highlights of eight hours train journey is the view from Landwasser Viaduct.

The Swiss do many things very well. Train journeys are no exception. The scenery is stunning, the trains are smooth and comfortable to travel in and they are always ontime. I was lucky enough to have done this trip in 2009 and 2017. Thank you for posting and bringing back great memories

In May of 2011 We took the Glacier Express from Chur to Zermatt, spent 2 nights there and took the train back to Chur where we had left our rental car in a hotel garage. The only thing I would do different is to make the trip one way. But we had rented the car for a month and the other solution would have been to take a different route from Zermatt to probably Zurich and then across & back down to Chur. All in all it was a spectacular experience for our 50th Anniversary trip!

체르마트와 생모리츠 구간 .. 빙하열차 .. 수많은 돌다리와 암벽 터널을 지나 풍경을 감상하는 구간 입니다. 제가 가장 마음에 드는 구간으로 결정 합니다. 쿠어에서 베르나 특급으로 이동하여 다른 구간 여행도 할수 있는 것으로도 봅니다 ~ ^^

My Aunty Fritzenella was on this train. She said that if you look out of the windows you will see various things, trees, grass, stones. Etc. She also said you can eat your fish sandwiches while you watch the country side.
