Switzerland is the most expensive country in Europe- and St Moritz is the most expensive city in it. Next time you find yourself in a similar situation, you to a supermarket and buy your food (like a sandwich, a salad and desserts) in a supermarket. Of course this only works for cold food(ie, lunch) but you'd save a lot. Happy holidays and thank you for the video!

@@dietmar_vienna Döners are not expensive in Switzerland, but too cheap in other Countries. In Switzerland the Prices are so that the Snack Bar Operator still earns something. In Germany this can no longer work with the ultra-cheap Prices.

Обычно я смотрю видео на ютуб с ускорением 2 , но только не на этом канале😊 38 минут прошли как 15 - чудеса ! Невозможно оторваться , так все завораживает , точно - каждый кадр как открытка 😮про еду так смешно 🤭 распаковка вкусностей ) тортик с воздухом альп и морозом -очень весело👍 я до 1 января включительно работаю без передышки и такие моменты , посмотреть такие замечательные виды , очень радуют на 38 минут я оказалась в другом мире, вау🎉😊👍

Мне очень это нравится тк музыка всегда на любителя, не угадаешь, но тишина или настоящие звуки - всегда очень позитивное влияние оказывают )

The Italians surely built a great Train Station. That frozen lake was the glacier. St Moritz is not a budget destination. You just take the prices in your stride as you look at the scenery. Wonderful journey recorded. Thank you. Merry Christmas to all !

6:56 Italy and Switzerland are part of the Schengen area. There are no border controls between the countries having signed the agreement (except in special cases); because it is a zone of free movement between countries for people and goods. Customs checks are carried out when entering or leaving the Schengen zone but very rarely inside it.

I'm with you, Solo Solo. I'd much rather ride in the regular train with the window down and take in the fresh air. I'd probably also be bouncing from one side of the train to the other like to you soak in as many sights as I could. Merry Christmas. I was on this train earlier this year and tip 1 for everyone, have sunglasses handy! Tip 2 is in my experience the regional train on the same route is better in my opinion. First class on the Bernina Express was quite full when I went.

@@bambin3145 the sunglasses because of the glare of the sun from the snow. Even happens in winter. In a busy season, even first class is chaotic. The only slight advantage I see in first class is slightly more leg room. The regional train (first class) I took on the way back was almost empty. I didn't see second class I think was much the same.

To those who go, if they go, during the summer, I recommend the red BERNINA EXPRESS replacement bus from Lugano to Tirano and vice versa. The cost of transport is included in the Eurrail, Interrail, Swiss travel and Graubünden passes. It is also included in the day pass, the general pass, the half-price pass and so on and so forth. Seat reservations are always mandatory and must be paid out of pocket. Have a nice trip!

Those "panoramic" cars on Your train were actually "Berinina Express" (BEX) and they travel several times a day. The thing is BEX is not a specific train consisting only of BEX cars, but a mixed consist of regular Rhaetische Bahn (RhB) cars, pulled by some RhB EMU (now it seems that only Allegra left in operation and four remaining ABe 4/4 III are discarded/scrapped). There is a food shop right at the St. Moritz station building. I was also suprised, that swiss prices appeared high for a person from Japan... But anyway, thanks for the great video and humor, they bring up the memories of those beautiful places :)

What a wonderful train ride! In 2014, i travelled by train from Zurich to Salzburg and it was a ride of my lifetime. The view was spectacular. Your video inspired me to go on Bernina and i hope i can do that in 2025.

Спасибо за видео! Я планирую поездку в Швейцарию и ваше видео помогает мне скорректировать планы. Во-первых, в Альпы лучше ехать летом, чем зимой. Во-вторых, не нужно обедать в заведениях городка Сант-Мориц, действительно неоправданно дорого. Нужно брать еду с собой в рюкзаке. Понравились субтиттры в видео. А ещё у вас красивые руки!

30 dollars for a sausage does seem to be excessive (also I have never seen anyone eat fries with a fork before) haha. This was a fun video, the commentary was hilarious. The scenery and shops were also fun to look at. Thanks for sharing your trip with everyone! Merry Christmas!

We loved this train, although we did prefer the carriage with the larger windows. We were lucky to travel just after COVID so there was only 2 other people in the carriage which made it an amazing experience. And they are pet friendly which is a huge bonus :)

I'm not sure if it's supposed to be a joke, but at minute 25:30 you put sugar instead of salt on your fries. This container is usually only used for sugar. The salt mill is further forward next to the pepper mill 😅
