Mercedes Benz wet clutch transmission had a issue we didn't expect but I still go over all the steps covered to try and find the problem. Perhaps we should have started at the last step but you can't win them all.

TCU tune will reduce clutch slip and increase line pressure which will increase the life of the transmission and allow for full amount of power and torque to reach the wheels. Shifts will be smoother and faster as well Noted a TCU tune only car is faster than a ECU tune only car! Tests done by EC Canada and 5Soko who are TCU tuners who work with Eurocharged.

5-6ozs of Militec-1 works wonders to increase clutch holding and reduce metal to metal part friction. Definitely makes a huge noticable difference🤘🏼

So could the wet clutch not hold the torque of the tune that was on the car? What tune was it?

Ok bro, i have the exact same problem and also i have little mods such as removing cat. Converters which definitely make the transmission so how looks like slipping and also if i kick it down i feel the down shift is not smooth, have replace the oil, reset and did the adaptation through autel but still didnt solve the issue.. could you advice what to do? Thanks in advance

Awesome video, great content for any m157 / 722.9 owner. Learned plenty from just watching it. But in all honesty you should of first went after solenoids + fluid flush + re adaptation. Then if that didn’t fix it, should of tore it down and inspected the clutch packs to see how much material there is on discs. That car is stage 2, and the torque it puts down is mental, probably right around 700 awtq. Best option would be to upgrade the clutch packs at that point.

So did you replace something? Or did you just remove the tune and set it back to factory tune?

Just had to calibrate the engagement of clutches and what not if I recall correctly. It's been a while though.

Transmission is still working fine after all this time. It was all in tuning basically.

Improve fluid and change more frequently with highly modified power level tune. Synthetic Amsoil signature FE with 5-6 ozs of Militec-1 make a huge difference

I'm having to replace the transmission in my 2016 E63-S. Mercedes wanted $14k to do it. My problem is the u-joint that some dumbass thought it would be a cool thing to put on the inside instead of the outside of the transmission that goes to the rear of the front wheel driveshaft.
