As much as an elite Miko is, saying someone's point is just their opinion in a debate is a pretty bad comeback. The whole point of the debate is a clash of opinion to see which standpoint can win the audience/judge/opposition over, so saying its just their opinion wont really amount to nothing ....... I don't think you can save anyone. It's like when you see a guy with a 30 sec lifespan, then save him from a car crash. That way the lifespan wouldn't be 30 sec in the first place, but obviously you won't save him if it wasn't 30 sec, so that's kinda a paradox thing. One possibility is like final destination where you save that guy from a car crash but he trips, falls then get smashed by a flying metal piece after exactly 30 seconds. The only thing you can do in the plane case is to get out of the plane so you won't die with them I guess. It could still be useful to stay away from anyone with a short timer lol.

You can maybe somehow able to save your life as long as you won't see yours or avoid mass death incident by avoiding it, theory here is if the time is fixed but you haven't seen yours yet so if you see for some reason a lot of people have the same time you can guess something might happen the will result to mass death in that area and time

I think lifespan is more like a health bar, it's indicated the wellbeing of a body, not when you die based on an accident. I mean if a person who can see someone lifespan that tell when they die, and they suddenly decides to kill someone who has a full bar/number, then that kinda make no sense

@@marcoleung7253 If we take into account quantum physics then there would be possibility of saving person from dying. Or lifespan could be seen only biologically/metabolically so someone could have 80 years of life but die next day in car crash.

Really depends on your definition of a ghost. For me, they're just dead people who can't do anything to the living. It matters nothing to me what they do except being eyesores. Also, being unafraid of ghosts is a plus. The lifespan, on the other hand, will definitely give me anxiety and depression.

Like, say we are literally driving on the road and you accidentally swerve out of the way to avoid hitting a person because you can’t discern if they were dead or alive. In fact, even just being too comfortable with ghost in your regular life can probably create schizophrenia symptoms in someone, being unable to get a grip on reality. We see numbers everyday as part of our understanding of a functioning society: time, money, miles to work, every thing is built on measurements. It can even be an opportunity to be emphatic to our humanity, maybe making that dying kid’s last wish come true, or getting to know a older person before it’s their time. Also, just straight up avoiding deadly situations by keeping an eye on someone who was probably going to be caught in the crossfire. Lifespan implications are just more useful in practicality than being bothered by figures that can just obscure your abilities. Unless you are like a homicide detective or something.

But If everyone knew their lifespan and tell someone that he dies in some amount of time it would never give them peace of mind as Miko said. They would be terrified and would try to hide from it. If knowledge of person possessing such ability were to appear 3 things could have happen to them: -experimentation ( not as brutal as in fictional stories but it depends on the country) -some one would kill, abduct her for this ability -she could be found guilty of some ones death as she knew that he will die and how is she going to explain her skill. if everyone had those powers than there would be bigger problem as peoples worth would be based on how long they are gonna live and it would prove that humans have no free will. On the other hand if you could see ghosts; -Situation heavily depends on what ghosts they will see; do they have their personality or maybe only some of it, what are their esthetics and if the ghosts are staying infinitely or for some time or until doing what they wanted. -it also depends on how can ghosts interact with the world and if everyone had this ability then there would just be groups/organization for dealing with them (peacefully or otherwise, also more jobs :D) So over all seeing ghosts could either be very profitable, annoying or scary depending on what they are, while seeing lifespan is either dangerous to user or it would be hidden.

But your counter argument is based on the supposition that Ghosts are everywhere. I don't think that's a good base to be honest.

Yet if we follow what Korone said, meaning that it is set in stone, then the numbers would already take into account change of diet, habits, etc. If we don't follow what Korone said, then telling people would rarely be beneficial anyway. Not all people would "change for the better" per se. Some would panic, which leads to stress, which leads to shorter lifespan. Some would think that it is set in stone, and be reckless, leading to early deaths. Some would be depressed and decide to end their life early to "take control of their fate". Also, depending on the person, seeing other person's lifespan might not be good for their mental health; thus, shortening their own lifespan. I'd say that seeing ghosts, while similarly non-productive (or productive if we follow Korone's lottery cheating strategy), would be less risky to other people. Not necessarily less risky to yourself though.

There is always the option to not tell their remaining lifespan and keep to yourself (not like people would believe you out of the blue anyway). Seeing ghosts are quite risky, especially if you accidentally meet a really malicious ghost. Wouldn't want to risk getting cursed.
