As far as I know her parents divorced. Her mother is from South Africa and she went back. She took Amira and her brother with her. Her father still lives in the Netherlands.

@@nextgeneration4660 I found this in a documentary about Amira: Amira stunned the jury of the TV show Holland's Got Talent with her opera voice, which she also won in 2013. She is also very well known in South Africa. She is currently working on her third album there. The compulsory education rules are one aspect of the reason for the intended departure from the Netherlands. "It also has to do with how the people in South Africa are, how the children are treated there," says Frieda Brand. 'When they are there they blossom. Amira is taken much more seriously in South Africa. In the Netherlands she is not accepted by the elite, who do not consider her a real opera singer.' House hunting Mother Frieda Brand talked about the move on Radio Gelderland: The school system is also structured differently. Frieda: 'Sport is very important to Amira. This is also possible at school and you no longer have to drive from school to the sports club and then to singing lessons.' Amira, Frieda and Fincent are currently looking for a house in South Africa. They want to move in January, when the new school year starts. Father Gerrit Willighagen is not coming along, Amira's parents divorced earlier this year. Radio Gelderland made this documentary (17 september 2017) about Amira.

Malheureusement les parents d’Amira se sont séparés et Amira à suivie sa maman comme @janeverse4555 vous l’explique. Elle est d’une générosité extraordinaire et partage ses gains pour créer des plaines de jeux pour les enfants de quartier déshérité.

Oui je ne savais pas celà, par contre je connais toute son action pour les déshérités, et j'encourage tous ses fans à commander un ou plusieurs de ses disques à sa fondation, afin de l'aider
