The son of a shepard has skills

Not underage but overage. We are a kind of freaky bunch in our 40s and our biochemist buddy likes having her birthday at bouncy castle places where the average age of the staff seems to be around 16. Our buddy made some special juice (pure alcohol + sports drink + a little extra in gatorade bottles). By the end of the party, we were all a little rambunctious, it was obvious one of the kids had snuck into the special juice and the 18-year-old manageress was baffled as to why her stern "mom voice" elicited gales of laughter. We finished up, paid and left (even helped them clear up) and were saying our goodbyes in the parking lot when the cops arrived. They were as baffled as we were and just laughed.

That story about the deaf drivers reminds me of one of my uncles, he isn't deaf but he's an expert in American Sign Language and likes to sign the road signs he sees with one hand while driving to practice.

We had one episode with cops that was pretty funny : I was part of an group which did sword show (medieval or musketeer). One time, we were rehearsing behind the residencial area of one of us, on the parking lot. We used rapiers to train, but blunted and not sharp. We hear a siren in the street on the other side of the building, but not something that alarmed us, when suddenly, a cop car drive into the parking lot full speed. I told the guy to sheath there weapons or to put hem on the floor for those not in costumes (I was the fight choreographer). The car stopped with tire screaching, and the cops burst outside, going toward us, hands on the holsters (In France, Cops dont't have the right to pull out their guns without direct threat). I asked them "Hello, can we help you ?". The cops were a little confuse "Someone called us, saying there were people fighting with knifes"... I calmly answer "Yes, that would be us, I think". The cops were totally lost and we had to show them our weapons and show them our stages fights and look out for the name ouf our group. They told us that an old lady called the cops cause "Their are gangs that are killing each other with knives and weapons on the parking lot."... XD The cops had a good laugh and us a fun story to tell ! ^^

I could listen to this subject forever. I liked the snipe hunt, we did that a couple times as kids and in the army!!

This is one my mother did when she was a teenager. Back then cop cars did not have the light bars they do today, instead it was a single light under a round dome. Night before Halloween, my mom and some of her friends paint all those lights with orange and black paint to make them look like jack-o-lanterns. Cops saw the whole thing and my mother and friends had to clean the paint off the next day. No other punishments from the cops, but all the parents knew what they did.

That plastic arms and legs prank was hilarious, until I found out he was in nam. Jesus, that's a dark joke

Cops in my country, when they definitely have to poor your bottle down the drain (because it's a public concert etc), they get tears in their eyes and probably it hurts them more than it hurts us.

Was at a party once. Fun story, I am strictly a no-drugs no-booze kid. Had my drink spiked once, never gonna risk it again. Anyway, cops pull up. There are like 4 patrol cars. Everyone darts out and runs for the forest behind the house, meanwhile I just calmly sip at my earl grey tea on the couch. Cops come in, tell me to stand up and put my hands behind my back. I ask them, what are my charges. Underage drinking. The tell me they can see the "Irish cream" in my cup, so don't bother lying. I tell him, no, take a sip. This is tea. Cop does not believe me, and refuses to try it. His partner pulls out a breath thingy to test me, comes up negative and the cops, there are now 6 surrounding me, all look flustered as all hell. Two of them ended up staying in the house while the others went looking for the runners. I had a nice chat with those two. TLDR: Cops busted party, I didn't run because all I had to drink was tea.

Okay, it's a bit backward, as the cop was the funny guy, but this is worth sharing. Last year, I went to visit a buddy a couple cities over in my snazzy new rustbucket. Haven't seen the guy since a good while BEFORE COVID, so I was pretty excited to see him. I'm maybe 30 minutes from his front door when I see the lights in my rear view. I look down, and well shit, I was doing 30km over the speed limit on the highway. I pull over and accept my fate. Officer walked up and I immediately capitulated. "There's no ifs or buts, you got me officer." I was brutally honest to every question he asked. Officer highly appreciated that, guy was smiling and chuckling like he'd just caught a child in the candy jar. He goes back to his car for the paperwork. I'm left with the quiet sounds of the song Womanizer to comfort me. Well. Apparently baller cop heard that too. A couple minutes later, I hear, at a volume that made nearby birds flee in terror, "IT'S BRITNEY BITCH!" This boy then proceeds to dance up the side of the highway to Gimme More, I look back to see this and lose it. Then I see his partner in the passenger seat ALSO losing it and I damn near stop breathing. Baller cop walks up and hands me a warning with a wink. I think about this guy constantly. Way to protect, serve, and give the badge a great image dude!

I'm not a cop, but just yesterday, I traveled to an away game for Baseball with some of my friends and the school we traveled to had wooden bleachers so one kid decided to stand on them and an entire chunk of wood snapped off (he was not hurt). We then only began tearing it into even more shreds and we almost got in trouble for property damage

I love story 14. The months after 9/11 were a strange time. Almost every National Guard and Army Reserve unit was on high alert in a strange "near activation" mode. Not really activated, but ready to activate like Russia was about to recreate the 80's movie "Red Dawn". We intellectually knew that an invasion was unlikely, but everyone was roaring and ready to fight.

I was 17 years old, and I was completly drunk I had something around 3 per mille of alcohol, with my also drunk friend we were waiting next to the market for our friend who was 18 years old and came in to buy some beer, I saw three people coming out from the market two in the uniforms and bulletproof vests and one with handcuffs on his hands, I tried to read what was written on their vests, I could only read three letters: "L" "J" and "A" and I thinked "They are probably cops, but I'm not sure..." So I did the best thing I could thinked of, and aproched them and ask "Excuse me Sir, are you policeman?" He looked at me, laughed and responded "Yes", I thinked "OH SHIT! Quick, say something so you won't get in trouble!" So I said "Oh then I bow my head to you" he then went to police car with the man who they arrested trying not to laugh.

When I was a teenager I knew every police officer in the small town I hung around in. I had so many run in with the police and never got into trouble. I got one traffic ticket for having bald tires on my car. But I had a secret only I and the chief of police shared. You see I knew the chief was keeping time with my married aunt. If somehow my extremely violent uncle found out about it. There no way of telling what he would have done to the chief. So if I got a ticket from one of his officers it somehow got lost. I've been caught many times smoking pot. Sometimes they would take my pot. Other times would check on what I was doing. Once they knew they just left. Once at 19 teen it was the night of the towns Halloween parade. That night I got stinky drunk with the man who was blowing up the balloons for his men to sell. I had been drinking with him for several hours. I was 14 when I went to my first bar and got served. I was still a teenager when I used to buy beer at a few different beer distributors in the local area. That night I had drove to a friend's place of work and bought some LSD. I was so drunk by then. I took some acid and about 5 hits of muscle relaxers. Then I attempted to drive home. I didn't make it. I plowed into a large post with 7 mail boxes on it. I tried to leave but my car was hung up on the post. I ruined the transmission in the car by rocking it back and forth. My back tire wore a big hole in the driveway of the house. I mean it dug so deep it rested on the Axel. I was so messed up I didn't even know the Pa state police were there. I can't remember all we talked about. I do remember us laughing about something. They took the knife I had on my belt and I don't even remember them taking it off me. I only knew this when they gave it back to me. I was not ticked or arrested for DUI. In fact they drove me home with a six pack of beer and a note telling me where my car was towed. I even had the rest of my drugs on me. When I woke up the next afternoon. This happened over 50 years ago. Times and attitudes do change through the years. I got away with so many things I shouldn't have back then. Yes I was the bad boy your mother warned you about. The one that would get you in trouble. I drank my first beer at six years old. By the time I was 12 years old. I ran around with my 21year old brother getting drunk and drag racing other cars from red-light to red-light. We did this on the streets of our state capital. But I'm not the same person now I was in my younger years. I worked danm hard to change from who I was into who I am now. I was a 9th grade dropout who used drugs and alcohol to numb myself out from the emotional pains. I felt dealing with life on a daily basis. I was sexually abused by a teenage neighbor. It really messed up my life. I finally sought mental help in dealing with my pent up hurt feelings, how I thought about myself and the reason I felt the way I did about life in general. I didn't know how to cope with life's problems and heavy stresses that comes with it. I didn't learn the coping skills I needed to deal with life. I was never taught these life skills by my parents or teachers growing up. With all the stresses, problems, dangers of just walking around the streets safely. With all the abuses they may have of gone through just trying to grow up into an adult. I remember how hard it was for me growing up with all the emotional garbage I carried around in my life. The way it is in today's world life has more problems, pressures and stresses put on the youth of today's America. It is at least 5 times greater than I went through growing up 50 60 years ago. It's no wonder people are snapping out mentally and socially dysfunctional. We need better mental health awareness in this country. Maybe there wouldn't be so many crazy people out there killing others and mass shootings going on. Because of undiagnosed mental health problems. If we started Paying attention to the warning signs of mental health problems in children whether from abuses or other traumas. Then give them the help they need to become healthier and a productive member of society. Sorry for the long ranting. But I can't sleep and my brain won't stop thinking of all kinds of things. I feel afraid for our country. It's in a downwards slide to destruction. Because of the bad direction politicians are taken the USA. Their in fighting over simple things and not doing what's best for the whole country and its population. They'd rather argue over party lines. Than put their differences aside and work for good of the country. The politicians of today won't do anything thats good for the people and country. As long as they can't line their pockets with money or there isn't something for in it for them. I also feel that people are too quick to believe the lies the politicians tell you. By tricking you into believing that things are getting better. By telling you what you want to hear and hiding real truth from the people. I can't understand why people are so quick to believe a lie about things. Than they are to believe the truth when it is right in front of their faces. The USA is heading for a great disaster. If we don't start working together for a better future for the USA and its people . We don't need politicians who only care if there is something in it for them. Just doing things that will make you think the politicians are working things that appeared to be good for country. But they aren't doing for the people. They only care how many voters they can get to vote for them in upcoming elections. We are being bamboozled about what's the politicians are really doing behind voters backs. All politicians enjoy the power and prestige of their office. It allows them to think they are better than anyone else and make deals with lobbyists and big corporations and line their pockets with silver. They don't care if the corporations are hurting our environment or people getting killed by gun violence or not. As long as they are getting some kind of reward from the corporations they support. These are only my opinions and observations. In the 69years I've been alive.
