Closest thing in life to a "lifetime supply" of something was when the soda vending machine at my neighborhood park dispensed for free upon press. When I first noticed this we used it sparingly, but eventually after a few weeks I think too many other kids in the neighborhood spread the word. I think I was the true victor of this machines downfall though, and I lived in sugary bliss for a few weeks with unlimited pepsi products. I think this is where my addiction to mug rootbeer took its roots.

4:45 I hate those "OUR definition is based on what is the cheapest for us, so here's ONE of the thing every month, even through it's something you can use every day" 8:27 I remember hearing a similar story once, the land owner then send the company a bill for the "breach of contract and new fee for rent of land, since they didn't honor the standing contract" (signed by a judge and everything) and they ended up getting the old deal back, that was the cheapest option for the company.

We didn't win this but about 30 years ago when I was pretty little a train full of soap crashed outside out town. 25 years ago, I went to the right-hand side of my family's house to rake some leaves & found a large pile of samples - soap bars, cereal, granola bars...all lying on the grass by the fence. It turned out that my next door neighbor's (teenage?) son had taken a delivery job with one of the area's newspapers and decided to slack off. He was fired after they found out. 9_9 We couldn't keep the food, sadly, because we had no idea how long the pile had been out there but the soap samples were completely dry and lasted for several months. ^_^ ,b I doubt that my family will be that lucky again anytime soon but, still, hope springs eternal. ^_^

The theater closed about six months later for good. They took the seats out of the main floor and is now a auto repair shop. Still looks like a theater inside, really pretty. They are talking about fixing it back up and reopening it. If they do I want my free movies back LOL.

1:11 Gotta say, the mother may have been told ahead of time that it was just going to be a mass of pallets immediately delivered to her home, thus why she voided the deal so quick. I’ve heard lots of horror stories of winners who instead of getting coupons or monthly reasonable deliveries, the company just dumped a shit load of product all over their property and ran like dicks illegally dumping their garbage on your lawn. The average person doesn’t usually have the resources or time to move all that to a food bank or a dump ether, so it just goes rotten. It’s a really disgusting, underhanded method of companies.

This isn't exactly a "lifetime supply" sort of thing or a contest, but I have special needs and I am a school bus enthusiast and with my school's principal and the director of transportation knowing I was into school buses, they made an agreement to make a paper bus for me with velcro straps where I can strap dogs onto. Once the bus fills up with 10 dogs, our most famous bus driver (who's also the bus driver trainer, and has driven every single bus the district owns before) would give me a free ride on any bus I wanted. However the bus couldn't go out of district bounds.

Not a lifetime. But there was this time that my parents won a contest to make a slogan for a hotel company and won. My father just made it to pass the time bc he was bored one day when we were buying plane tickets for a travel in a mall. So he didnt even remember that he aapllied for that. When he got the news he won via email, he thought it was a scam but, for some reason, decided to go along woth it. The result: he and my mother got a whole weekend on a 5 star hotel with spa in Mato Grosso, Brazil, with everything included. They even get to travel by carriage and had their own personal butler. Everything probably would cost around 40-50k dollars. And it was all for free

The 110 apples a month people probably should have donated them, but I kind of wish they'd been really creative and tried to use them. What kind of heathy eating style would emerge from always needing to use a lot of apples? You'd get your allotted fruits and vegetable quota for sure, and probably end up writing a great apple recipe cookbook. Apples aren't one of those super-craved items, but it'd probably do someone good to try to live up to that number of free apples. I guess it would be like having an apple orchard without the labour.
@Shalakor
@Shalakor Жыл бұрын
Too much fruit isn't exactly a healthy diet, especially all one type of fruit. That's a lot of sugar, and even the vitamin content could be hazardous in high concentrations. The biggest issue that makes it impractical is getting them all at once in the month, since even turning them into various confections still means they're going to start spoiling before the month is up, especially if they're out of season stock, which will basically be always. Not a lot of ways for most households to keep them preserved being delivered from a mass producer after they've left controlled environment nitrogen chamber storage. Just not the same as fresh fruit access.

Had a friend that had a friend that found what he described as "a lifetime of coke" in the woods in a backpack, along with tens of thousands of dollars. Apparently the guy that was supposed to make the pick up didn't make the pickup and got beaten to near death the next day after school. This was a highschool. Man highschool kids have some scary connections these days. Also. He clearly didn't realize a backpack full is more like a months supply, 3 months tops. Don't do hard drugs kids. Stick to weed. Be successful. If you see a strange package in the woods. Just walk right by and forget you saw anything. People are scary and people that deal with that kind of shit are fucking terrifying to even come across.

I won a lifetime supply contest once at my favourite ramen place, I always went there when I craved it, It was near me and cheap, I was friends with the owner and one day she gave me a lifetime supply of tonkotsu ramen since I always ate it, I also always ordered karaage and extra seaweed so that was also included xD, Man I love her, She is really funny and makes the best ramen lol, It wasn’t popular so i was her favourite customer, She has a kid now and he helps work at the shop sometimes, I also help her a bit, It’s been 4 years and her shop sadly closed due to rent since she went poor, I was 8 so I couldn’t help, I really wish her shop is still open, There’s a ramen shop that tastes a little bit like her homemade ramen but it’s far and expensive and the line is always long sadly, I still eat at there if I could, It’s not th same feeling though. Btw my father was a huge fan of ramen and he was also her friend so he doesn’t hesitate when i tell him I want to eat er ramen today xD.
