At 16 he could have gone to the police and tell them that he is 16 and that his mother kicked him out of the house because he refused to marry someone whom his mother had just met!;!; The mother would be arrested and charged with child endangerment! Besides contacting your relatives they would get you into many programs that are available for you!!!

Or he could just move in with his family and not get involved into the emotional problems that comes with calling the cops. Not everyone wants to lash out and sometimes they want to just get it fixed without involving the government.

Honestly think the op in the second story is at fault on having no input on the house he bought. Buying a house isn't an instant process, and he has been trying to get her to move out for a while before the death in her family happened. Then she says she needs at least a year to deal with that before moving out, which is way too long to ask someone else to put off buying a house. It's even more unreasonable to expect a say in the house he picks if she had no concrete plans of moving into it, which seems to of been the case.

@@stillpixel9233 SMH...really...do people not actually take the time to listen to explanations about topics and just misuse verses, thinking that they actually know something? There were three types of laws that were given in the Old Testament: Moral, Ceremonial, Civil. Moral laws are meant for everyone at every time (they are still in effect) Ceremonial laws were done away with as Jesus fulfilled them on the cross Civil laws were for those Israelites at that time as they were a nomadic people. Both laws that you stated were not moral laws but had very good reasons for them: -No shellfish, pork, etc. - If you notice what they could eat, these were meats that, if a little undercook/raw, are not bad for you. However, if you do not cook shellfish, pork, etc. to the correct temperature, you can easily get food poisoning. -No mixture of fabrics - They were a nomadic tribe. When you mix two fabrics (back then), it did not last as long. Also, the symbolism behind it was to show them that they should not mix their worship of God with any of the pagan nations they were going to. We have the same distinction in our society with criminal laws, civil laws, and traffic laws. If the mayor/governor/president got up and abolished all civil laws, that does not mean we can ignore the other two. As for forcing values on others, it does not say anything against it IIRC (could be wrong so if someone has a verse, tiss would be nice). What it talks about is adding your own rules on top of God's laws and making your rules more important than what God has instructed.

my aunt is crazy religious, it got so bad she'd burst into my room at 3 in the morning to scream about the rapture coming and to give our souls to Jesus before it was too late, reason why that stopped was because i was about to finally fall asleep due to a fever and when she busted my door open i swung a E-tool and whacked her right in the face, cops had a good laugh at that one and refused to arrest me since i was defending myself from an intruder, the trying to push religion on me and my sister in general stopped because everytime she tried we'd both scream "HAIL SATAN! I actually relate to that because I used to have an old friend that would use to make me do what ever she wanted me to do and if I didn’t want to she would tell me that if u don’t this then we can’t be friends anymore and would start to be very toxic and that would make me get very very stressed out and it started to make feel scared of being alone with no friends, family nothing so I would forget about the the classmates that actually tried to support me be my friend and even comfort me when I was sad and she also never let me talk to anyone at all

Story 1: Lots of frustrated people take hold of anything that gives them peace, be it political, religious, science obsession, gender confusion, etc. I do hope that the man realizes that those who mishandle the truth terribly does not neglect what it true. That mother needs to stop looking outward and realize how much of a wretched sinner she is (as we all are), focus on getting rid of that huge pride issues, and beg her son for forgiveness (without expecting anything from him). Story 2: Unless you have a ring on your finger, you don't get a say what he does with his money. It sucks what happened to your family but if ya not married to him, then don't complain about what he buys with his own money. Same towards the narrator. They ain't married so there is no "we" or "significant other". No matter what they talked about, unless he did it out of spite, there is no commitment to anything being "them". Story 3: Sounds like he was using your innocence to get what he wanted and then left. Story 4: That's hilarious!
@Ironica82

@@natturefrk Why? If they are not married, then what is his is his and what is hers is hers. Ones they are married, then everything is both of theirs. She was always hesitant about moving in with him. He probably just got tired of waiting and decided to buy a house and a dog on his own. Now, it would be a completely different story if he expected her to pay for some of it (then it would be both of theirs) but that was never mentioned. It is the same in reverse as the boyfriend has no say on how the OP spends her money or time.

Srsly, the dad with the dog in the last story makes my heart boil. Kids believe all sorts of stuff, the dad basically ruined the kid's relationship with his dog that he'll never get back. The OP will never forget how he turned his back on the dog by believing the stupid joke. And then he also gets laughed at by his family for it now. Ok, the dad probably didn't think his joke had so much impact on the boy, but with kids and relationships to their loved ones you can - in my opinion - not be careful enough, or at least mention after that it was a joke. I mean, my kids even believe me when I say there's unicorns flying in the sky making rainbows. Might be different from the OP since they have autism and generally believe everything I say, but even kids without autism believe the stuff their trusted parents say to them. For OP 2, I can see his actions being justified. Example: He understands his girlfriend is in a bad spot, and they've been already planning on living together. He buys a house nearby, thinking she'd want to be closer to family. He brings home a dog, so that she has something to do while he's unable to be with her the entire time, since it sounds like he works so much and is rarely home. But his bad habits of being messy, not properly listening, disregarded his girlfriends feelings completely and gaslighting her when she has something top say does not help at all. But at the same time, he can be stressed out that all of his extra effort to make his girlfriend happy and keep her busy is not being appreciated, so when it comes to him feeling cornered by her, he speaks too bluntly. You cannot forget, most men have problems with properly opening up to another person and they'll do thing impulsively based on what they feel is right or wrong.

She fully says "I didnt choose this" meaning OP doesnt care what the boyfriend thinks of a home as long as it caters fully to her amd her needs. He works, and its clear she doesnt. Yet she is upset he spent his money on a home close to her family. Yes he is a douche for gaslighting her and not being understanding she just lost someone, at the same time, she is being entitled too as she thinks the house and where it is located, is solely up to her. Story 3: This is called conditioning. When someone makes you drop your guard so you can become their marionette. This is often used with Scammers, and in this case, a con. It doesn't matter what the situation is, once the person wraps you around their finger, it's hard to unravel yourself out of the situation due to your emotional investment in the person. It's human nature to trust people, so don't take it too personally. Now that you've seen the signs, confront them. If they really cared about you, they will change. If they repeat their actions or suggest something that would cause you harm, don't stick with them. They'll bleed you dry and feel no remorse. Extortion through conditioning is a one way affair.

2nd story op just sounds entitled to me. Yes deaths in the family are sad but the world will not stop moving foward because of her grief(especially not for a year or so like the op says she needed). Why should her boyfriend even consult her about buying a house when she didnt have plans to live with him for a while? Also, depending on the area they live in, it isnt possible to just put off buying it to consult someone else who is too busy dealing with grief. They don't seem to be engaged so i see even less of an issue in his part. Was he supposed to just wait until she was ready to move in with him before buying a house (and probably prioritizing the op's wants), or was he supposed to just buy a house the op approved of just in case she makes the decision to move in with him (which according to the op would be an at least an entire year or so out) ? At least he let her be a part of the renovations. I also can't understand how she doesn't like the area the house is in when from her telling it is close to where she already lives. She also stated that her boyfriend said that all she does is complain, and honestly I am prone to believe him even with just her side of the story. If someone refuses to move in with me and yet still tries to dictate my house life I'd have the same complaint. You potentially moving in doesn't really justify a high level of control regarding the house, especially since it seems like he has been pushing to live together for a while even before the death of her family member but it never happened and wouldn't happen for at least another year.

There's information missing to actually form an opinion on the 2nd story. How long did they have plans to move in together (or how long has he) before this happened? How often has he heard "I just need another year or so"? For all we know this is a thing for years now and he has finally decided to actually take a step forward instead of staying in place. The OP seems unconcerned about her boyfriend's needs/feelings and then gets angry. I get that the OP is having a hard time emotionally, but him going forward with buying a house and such might be an indication that he feels neglected and lonely.

The best thing you can do is stay away from marriage dude. Don't be a fool, don't get married. It's fine to date, but if you're going to do a relationship you got to be careful. And the next time your mother brings up the whole "I gave you life" thing, kindly remind her that god gives us life, and our parents just bring us into the world. If god didn't allow people to have children, nobody would be having children.

A few years back, shortly after I started my career in medicine, he asked me what are my plans in life, seeing as my younger brother already had a kid on the way. I said I have no intention to get in a relationship and was contented with my life. he responded with "ok". he never opened that topic again and up to this day are still close to one another

For #2, she's a little too whiny. If her money wasn't used in buying the house or getting the pup, then she shouldn't complain. No one is forcing her to come over, no one is forcing her to clean up. She should take a break and let this guy get his 💩 together. If he's forcing you to do these things, then leave. If you're doing this on your own, then quit showing up, or quit your whining. There's no ring on that finger, he's spending his own money, so let him deal with those things on his own

My mom went on a health food break when I was about 8 or 9 years old she wanted to stop buying sugary cereal. So she told me they stopped producing fruit loops my favorite cereal. My mom became a teacher so one day I was about 14 or 15 years old and she took her students on a field trip to a college campus. We went to the cafeteria and they had all those ones serving boxes of cereal and I saw fruit loops. And I freaked out screaming look mom they have fruit loops they made they're making them again. And she looked at me with the most confused look on her face along with all of her students and then she remembered. Is she burst it out laughing and had to explain to her students how she had told me they stopped making fruit loops so she could start buying us only Cheerios. I had never been so embarrassed in my entire life everybody in the cafeteria heard me and was looking at me.

Second story - girlfriend has zero say until he puts a ring on it and/or her name on the deed and loan. You do not get a say in such things until there is a legal commitment involved between the couple. That said, you are looking at your future. Step back live where you want to live, and tell him to adjust, and, oh by the way, you do not respond well to *orders*.

Story2: how tall is your high horse? I mean 6 years together, not living together, so bf pulls trigger gets house, and you whinge that it doesn't feel like a home, which it won't, until you move into it. Pretty entitled to expect him to wait whilst you grieve, after 6 years of already waiting, because he's not considering your feelings, when not considering his. You've literally stalled you future plans that you apparently made together the whole time. So he makes progress on it. And your unhappy. Like, do you even want to be in a relationship? Do you even care about your boyfriend, or do you have him around in your life, just for the clout of being able to claim your in a relationship and that you don't fail at basic adult things, whilst you clearly are failing at basic adult things. Sure. The dog thing. I could see why that would be an issue, but it's one you could work around or get over.

Story 2 needs more information. She said she's need a year or more to grieve at her parents so did the boyfriend have to move out of his house for some reason so he decided to buy instead of rent. Did he try and involve her in the buying process? He bought close to her so he must have thought about her in the process, being close to her parents and all. How long was he alone in the house while she lived at her parents? Maybe he was lonely so got a dog to help.

Story 2: here is the thing... you aren't marry to the guy in 1st place, so sweetheart ... NO! you don't had anything to said on the matter as it comes from his pocket, not yours. Then the puppy ... sure it's a decision ... but ... again ... it came out of his pocket, not yours, so again, you don't had any thing to said in this one either if he wants a dog. The point is, you don't feel force to move, and he shouldn't force you to move there as well. Now here is the thing, if you're THAT whiny, why not tell him bluntly "NO, i don't wanna live here, i want to be sad excuse of miserable persona while griving"?. YEAH! it sounds bad, and harsh, but girl ... if you wanna be alone tell it and go directly, as it seems you're looking for validation to said: "yes! leave him, he is a jerk". No sweetheart, he tried his best to keep you busy from not thinking into that grieve and try to make you move on, only for nitpicking on him for anything when he "barely had time from work" as you said. And Narrator, stop been a simp again. As much as i know she has a tragedy and is griving ... SHE SHOULD TELL IT or get therapy, because how she is acting, sound very whiny and entitled as well as she didn't even tell him properly and put a stop to this. If he wanted a home, good. If wanted a dog ok. As it comes from his pocket. But OP isn't a entitle to choose this and she is planning things as if is marry too. IF he is running a marathon while she is trying to walk, then they aren't fit for each other either. In this case both sucks at not communicate this properly too.
