BioMaster 250 350 600 850 Review
sevenports.com/product/oase-b...
External Aquarium Filter - For the Highest Demands
EasyClean pre-filter module - Module can be removed separately from the rest of the filter. This reduces maintenance, increases filter efficiency, and extends the life of main filter foams. Customize the pre-filter with coarse 30 ppm, fine 45 ppi, ultra-fine 60 ppi, and activated carbon 45 ppi filter foams
No mess maintenance - Integrated safety locking features on the handle, pre-filter, and check valve in the inlet/outlet connection unit, ensure no accidental spillage or messy maintenance
Sealed filtration pathways - Allows for the full benefits of all four stages of filtration through this intuitive design
Hel-X Biomedia - An extremely large protected settlement surface (800m²/1000 liter) that allows beneficial bacteria to grow and thrive. The material is designed to stop floating as soon as it reaches a certain level of bacteria colonization.
Carbon pre-filter foams - Activated carbon absorbs unwanted substances in aquarium water. Carbon filter foams make replacement much simpler than using common granular carbon.
Adjustable flow control - Flow can be adjusted for the inlet and outlet in multiple locations on the filter assembly
Easy priming - Includes simple priming for fast and easy startup and continued operation
Quiet operation - Sound dampening design
Heater integration capability - Easily integrate an OASE HeatUp adjustable heater into the BioMaster canister (HeatUp not included)
What’s in the Box - Aquarium Filter, filter media, intake tube with inlet strainer, water distributor nozzle, spray bar, inlet and outlet adapters with flow control, tubing, fittings, heater adapter, and power cable
Made in Italy, backed by German engineering
Fresh and marine water compatible
UL certified filter
3 year warranty plus 1 year warranty extension with online registration

I picked up an 850 thermo from Sevenports back in December to replace two Eheims on my 120cm tank and I've been very pleased with it. The built in heater and prefilter are great.

Sir 2 weeks before I purshed oase biomaster 850 but my canester making rattling noise while starting about 5-6second I tried priming and airout method but no use please help me
@aquamanknox
@aquamanknox 2 жыл бұрын
A rattle is air trapped in the rotor. This is assuming the rotor or impeller is not damaged. You need press the primer more. Do you have loops in the tubing or is it straight down. If the tubing comes down below the top and then back up it is harder to get started. Often, on any canister, holding it a bit sideways thus eating it over can help it purge the air if you have any water in the canister. If you are still having trouble inspect the rotor.

So how's your filter now? Is it working efficiently or problem?. Does it comes with 3+1 year's warranty backup as the stockist in my city told me so.

I’m setting up a 125 gallon fresh water low Tech, with live plants. How would this do on there?
@aquamanknox
@aquamanknox 2 жыл бұрын
It would work well but I would pack it like Mentioned in my video on how to pack it and I would add something for current for the longer tank on the opposite end of the filter. Oase makes powerheads and Sicce Voyagers or Nano would work. Just to keep debris from settling

Just set my 850 thermo up, mine certainly isn't working silently , emits a dull humming noise. No idea what it is it's brand new
@aquamanknox
@aquamanknox 2 жыл бұрын
Silent is a tricky word. All electric motors produce some noise via a DB meter. When you compare the tank and GPH rating of this compared to its equals it is very quite and at 36 inched away. It had a meter reading equal or better than any I have tested. I have one in a bedroom (in a cabinet) and it is very quiet.

It'll probably quiten down when a biofilm builds up on the impeller shaft.

does the heater match the capacity
@aquamanknox
@aquamanknox 2 жыл бұрын
Yes it does. I have had zero issues with the heaters not matching capacity. They are max efficient with all the flow going over them in a closed space.

the heater is necessary if the room temperature does not fall below 22 in winter. I can buy the non thermo version much cheaper.

I've gotten two of the 850 Biomaster Thermos for the 220 gallon tank I'm setting up in the next couple weeks. ***Someone please correct me if I'm mistaken***, but the water travels from bottom to top thru the trays after the pre-filter on the pipe. What I've noticed is mine came with Black (60 PPI) filters on the pre-filter, which will obviously cause premature clogging, so I'm replacing it with Blue (20 PPI) sponges. Unfortunately, Oase doesn't offer Black (60 PPI) filter for the trays, so I've ordered some generic sheets that I'll cut to fit the trays. Additionally, I've ordered additional Orange (30 PPI) sponges for the trays. So, following the replacement Blue (60 PPI) sponges on the pre-filter, my planned order *from bottom to top* is: Tray #1) 0.6 inch bio-balls with tiny sponges (loose in the bottom tray) from Amazon Tray #2) Blue sponge (20 PPI) Tray #3) Blue sponge (20 PPI) Tray #4) 2 of the thinner Orange sponges (30 PPI) Tray #5) Black sponge (60 PPI) Tray #6) Black sponge (60 PPI) Tray #7) Bags of Purigen (In the thinner top tray) ***Can anyone think of anything I've overlooked or see anthing I've got out of order?***

Yes, you have the flow correct. You want to water to be cleaned coarse to fine. The Black ones work for me. I do clean them regularly. I prefer to use the Bio Matrix by aqualife and have a video on how I pack the canisters here kzfaq.info/get/bejne/mrZijdqbtrOWXWQ.html. I do not suggest the bioballs with tiny sponges. They are too hard to clean and lack surface area. The media from Las is better than that but look at my video on what works best from my use and tests with over 30 different canisters running.
