House elves are an alternative problem. Their race has culturally been indoctrinated to work as slaves by their own forefathers and culture that it's shameful for them to not work as a house slave. Hermione tried to fight for their rights and freedom but all of the house elves rejected her.

Can it be called forced if they want to do it? Can it be called slavery, when it's more akin to volunteer work? Also, the house elves have lodging in Hogwarts aswell as whatever other accommodations they need. So it's like an internship at a job.
