Their focus is, too often, on the machine, rather than what's best; and they still try to force induce labour no better than the actions in the story. Many births don't actually require a hospital visit unless there is a higher risk of serious complications; doctors have started preferring Hospitals even knowing it isn't always best just because they don't approve of professions that specialize more in births, and not because it is always needed - it can be, but it isn't always needed.
