I’m going to see them for my first time in May with Cannibal Corpse, Obituary and Frozen Soul! I’m so excited!

One of my favorite bands from the beginning, followed them since the first album. Definitely pioneers in their genre and I'm glad to see them get recognized and also clear more of a path for other extreme metal bands. In my opinion their entire catalog is solid to varying degrees, and their latest one, Great Heathen Army, has got some classics in the making--and a few duds, let's be honest. They put on a cool stage show and inject energy into a genre that could easily collapse under the dead weight of duplicity. Having said that, and this is just my opinion, I can do without the added fluff on tunes like Raise Your Horns, Heidrun... and hope they lighten up on the "hit" singles, so to speak. I selfishly worry they'll become a parody of themselves; and we all know metalheads can be somewhat unforgiving. LOL! There's a fine line between gaining popularity and losing credibility. I hope they crush it on the new tour!
