The silver has slightly more high end spark, black has more warm velvet tone, is very very subtle variation,

They sounds very close but not the same. Ampero black sounds with more extra presence frequencies, I'd say too much of this freq's, and a bit less body in sound. I own ampero mp100 and solve this by putting EQ in the start of the chain and make -6db on 10kHz with q=0.5 and -6db on low frequency 120Hz with q=0.5

@@HotoneAudio i can't get silver unit to compare, but it can be checked easily: 1) record the same signal (can be the same riff or chord progression on guitar, or just pink noise. The key is wide-spectrum sigal) with empty chain on both units and compare spectrum of recorded audios, remember the difference. 2) then make the same with mid-gain amp in start of chain. If difference grows then reason is input eq, if stayes exact the same as in first comparison - then difference in output eq

It'll be great if in next firmware of mp-100 input eq wil be fixed. Now it gots too much bass and presence. Because overall sound will be much better, even reverbs with redusing 120Hz and 10kHz starts to sound very pleasant for ears.

Is the Ampero 2 for acoustic Guitar too? I bought the Ampero mp 100 for acoustic guitar and it's amazing. Only the Display Graphic I like on the Ampero 2 more.

Yes, it's meant to be used with Electric guitar, Bass and acoustic instruments.

so I have a doubt, does this ampero silver have exactly the same hardware as the ampero standard or has there been any change or is it the same hardware as the ampero 2 stomp? ... that to me is not clear anywhere.
