Amphawa floating market is one of the most unique places full of interesting history and delicious street food.
You can order food from a boat and eat by the riverside.
The locals also love to visit this place and the prices are cheap and affordable for street food and souvenirs.
Highly recommend for a short weekend get away trip from Bangkok.
To enjoy the countryside and see the traditional way of living.
There are many boat trips being sold along the river with variety of destination like, exploring around the market island, visit temples or watch fireflies( at night). You can share the boat with a big ground of people or hire and private boat which you can choose where you want to visit.

OMG you brought me back my childhood memories blowing bubbles with that little straw and the sticky substance, don't remember what it's call. I should have visited Amphawa market , there seem to be more places to see, Damnoen market not much when we were there 5 months ago.

Australian here! I’m so excited I found your channel. I have been to Thailand twice before but finally I’m taking my partner and we are spending a week in Bangkok. I’m so glad to have finally found a channel created by someone who is actually born and raised there! I love your content, super well made videos and really helpful. Can I ask, what is your favourite floating market in or around Bangkok where you can actually take a boat ride and buy/try food whilst you are riding on the boat? I would recommend Damnoen Saduak market that's where you can enjoy Thai food on the boat, however its not in Bangkok, about 45 mins drive and also close to Amphawa Floating Market, so if you plan to visit, you might as well get to see 2-3 floating markets in one day!

I’m planning to visit this market in next month so thank you for this video❤️ I’m thinking to get there by bus from Bangkok city center but maybe taxi back from the market because I wanna watch the fire flies in the afternoon. Do you think is it easy to find a taxi around there?

Hi, welcome to Thailand 🇹🇭 There are a lot of tour agencies that would take you to this market, however the tour might take you to other places close by as well, it’s about 1,500 baht per person according to what I checked online. Or we can also be your tour guide and you can let us know where else you would like to visit in a day. But keep it mind that this market opens only in the weekends.😀

I haven't been to Taling chan floating market after the pandemic yet, but its is located in Bangkok which will be easier for you if you have limited time. but if you wish to visit Amphawa then I would recommend Damnoen saduak floating market also, they are pretty close to each other.
