Excellent reproduction of a classic instrument. My guitarist in high school had one with a Marshall stack. This sounds amazingly authentic.

I am a keyboardist who is around guitars all the time because I play in various rock bands. Now I want to do recordings on Cakewalk and purchase an Ample Guitar. I have no idea which one to buy. It wasnt until now that I realized electric guitars must be different from one another and I just never noticed.

For a VST guitar, its decent, but its still overwhelmingly "synthesized". Works well with chords and best with distorted chords.

From what I see, when you choose a riff, the vst changes amps and the settings on the amps to match the riff. In the DAW, what tells the vst to change amps and settings to match the riff?
@boosterhikes1841 Жыл бұрын
The VST does, of course. They are presets.
@jaredeaves76843 жыл бұрын
At 4:31 you are playing a riff and end into a single note. The note hits twice but is not two "picks" or separate notes (hopefully that makes sense). On a real guitar you would basically hit the lower note and bend up to it twice. How do you do that one this plug? Please.

Great video (s) thanks for you time. One thing I cannot figure out how to do with amplesound: My song contains a change of key: It goes from C to C#. Using the strummer grid, I have programmed all my chords in the 1-24 available slots. Now I want my DAW to push up the capo button by one semitone to do this change of key. I could not find a key switch to do that. Have I missed somthing? Thanks
@jaredeaves76843 жыл бұрын
My thought would be to automate the capo through the DAW.

Definately won't fool an actual guitarist or someone who records/produces but if you're a home gamer and you're using something like this sat in the background of a mix you'd probably get away with it. If you want something to sound like an actual instrument midi can only get you so far, there's loads of guitar players out there just chuck them £50 and record the actual part.

They said that about drums and bass .. and now some of the stuff they're making I think most musicians would be hard pressed to spot it. It's only a matter of time before they manage to make believable guitar emulators. It's coming. 😁 I agree, .. they're not quite there YET.

@@stephenr2434 Maybe with some of the single note 'leady' passages .. but unless you're coating it with a ton of effects and distortion , strums and chordal things to me still sound fake .. like a harpsichord. It doesn't sound real to me.

Hype: Such a beautiful tone Truth: Obvious virtual instruments, sounds anemic, sterile, lifeless. Some people can just lie straight to your face. The technology is not there yet.

If you play with the settings, use loads of amp plugins and various effects you can get it sounding pretty good but never as good as the real thing

Good video but only for the sound quality of the instrument. There's literally no indication in anything you said to let the viewer know if you're playing a keyboard, a guitar, or using presets for the constructions used in this demo. It's useless as a consumer to know if you need to master keys if you don't know guitar, or master guitar if you're playing a guitar into it, or if you are using presets or midi tracks to get the sounds you're making. Useless for evaluating whether to buy the product or not because there's no ability to match your skillset to the requirements of the plugin. I used to own a 59 Gibson Les Paul custom with the SG body. Looked exactly like that one with the cherry wood body & deep red finish.
