Thanks for the helpful information! Solo traveler here and I'm looking forward to my first visit to the Netherlands in August. I plan to stay in Amsterdam at the B&B Adriaen van Ostade for 5 nights. I hope to have time to visit Haarlem to visit the Franz Hals Museum. I've studied art and art history, so this trip has been on my list of must-see cities for a long time! I especially want to visit the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh Museum and the Anne Frank House, oh and of course a canal boat ride! I'm also a fan of the PBS TV show starring Marc Warren, Van Der Valk. They film all over Amsterdam. The I AM Amsterdam sign was moved in 2018 to the airport.

I went back again recently for the tulips festival which is a great thing to experience too if you go in future during March-May. Omg wow this is amazing I’m excited for you to see all the art and history on your bucketlist!! You have definitely done your research!!! For Anne frank house and Van Gogh try to book your tickets in advance Anne frank sells out early!!! Those are all amazing museums and the boat canal cruise will be amazing too!!! I love your itinerary!!! Thank you for letting me know that too I will update my description that it’s moved to the airport!

@@marileetravels Actually it was moved and set up at the airport. "To promote a better balance between tourists and locals, the sign was removed from the Museumplein in 2018 and has since found new homes across the city. Currently (as of Feb 2024) the sign is located at Schiphol Airport."
