Beginning at the new Moynihan train hall in New York, we explore the station and new Metropolitan Lounge, before hopping aboard Acela train 2159 to Washington, Union station in First Class.
Trip: New York Moynihan--Washington, DC Union Station
Travel time: 2hrs, 59mins
Accommodations: Acela First class
Meals: Lunch (Braised Beef, Mashed potatoes, green beans and carrots, dessert brownie)

Greetings, I’m so glad you found useful information here. I plan on doing many more videos to come. Many of us certainly wish we had trains as fast as in Germany or France

You pay a hefty premiun for ACELA service and even more for 1st Class. Not sure that it's worth it. Too slow. Too many stops. If they reinstated the non-stop run and/or reduced the number of regular stops, it might make the cost worthwhile.

The pandemic has brought on record low Acela fares or amtrak fares in general. The Acela became more focused toward business travelers and they tended to care less about the high fares since their companies were footing the bill. Overall i think the cost is worth it since its a better travel experience, especially first class. It’s a newer train and larger windows, brighter interior and more seat space than the regional service.
