Looks like we got lucky and caught a rare Amtrak Train rolling through the little town.
Wanted to take a quick run of the F40s and share a short video.
Locos are Rapido F40PH with the great Tsunami2 sound. Advanced Consisted with the second unit with HEP mode enabled!
Cars are Walthers cars I’ve collected over the years.

As a fellow MoPac model railroader, I have had the bug to model AMTRAK on my MoPac DeSoto Sub layout. And now I see you with AMTRAK on your MoPac layout. Wow!!!!!

I need a second staging yard to make it a regular appearance. But this shows I can have it run through. I recently expanded, so now I have the space!! Thanks for watching!

Love this, takes me back to what I saw as a kid. Rode the Zephyr from Chicago to Grand Jct. Well done George!!

Yes. Very common train.. well, for Amtrak. Similar trains into FtWorth in the TX Eagle. But some of the Zephyr trains would get 3 units. Eagle mostly had 2. Thanks!!

I miss the old F40s. First Amtrak trip I took on the Texas Eagle back in 1982 had a pair of F40s.

That was the train id railfan at home. FtWorth Tower 55. Train 21 and 22 each day. And they certainly made an impression on me. The F40s are neat engines and I cannot say why…. Haha!! Thanks.

I’d agree. Something about the F40s I love. Had to get them out.. but they’ve been in a box for over a year or more. Was time to get them out! Thanks for watching!
