EXTRUSION LINE FOR THE PRODUCTION OF WPC PROFILES

AMUT is also dedicated to providing solutions to produce WPC, with the special range
EasyWood, which covers lines with output from 250 up to 600 kg/h.
WPC is obtained melting polymers (PE, PP, PVC) with up to 80% natural fibers (such as
wood flours coming from rice husk, sugar cane, hemp,…) and some additives.
The finished product has a wood like appearance and its main applications are in
construction, building exteriors and interiors field (decking, fencing, skirting, panels,
wall and ceiling claddings, door applications).
Compared to wood, WPC needs a low maintenance, has a good ageing and heat
resistance, weather resistant, fungi free and flame retardant.
The WPC market demand is growing worldwide, especially in that countries where the
government wants to adopt an Environment Friendly attitude: in fact the WPC polymeric
mixture can consist of material coming from industrial scraps or post-consumer waste.
Moreover, the extruded products are 100% recyclable.
AMUT EasyWood lines, with direct extrusion or compounding, are equipped with
gravimetric dosing system for materials and are based on plasticizing, mixing and
extrusion with counter-rotating twin screw extruder as main unit.

How fast is the process for a 300kg/h double die like this, maybe its juste a thick profile but 300kg/h is quite a large amount of material

Just water, used as a coolant. It's used in calibrators for initial shaping and then in water tanks. Water obviously recirculates, there must be some machine that cools it down and sends it back.

@@me4eG the water is cooled down by a chiller, optimum temperature is usually around 10 degrees Celsius

ja produzi esse composto em equipamento conforme o citado, mas consegui apenas 30% de farinha de madeira e 70% de PP. gostaria de de poder atingir essas % decladas 80/20.

No entanto, se o pó de madeira atingir 80% e os pp forem de apenas 20%, você precisará granular primeiro.Depois que o pó de madeira e o PP estiverem bem misturados, os perfis produzidos terão uma aparência suave.

Hi, I have 30 years of experience with extrusion and the price of an extrusion line is primarily based on your needs. Depending on what profile you want to produce or what materials you want to produce, you need a certain extruder size. It is the same with the rest of the line. That means: small, narrow profiles naturally only need a narrow water basin. The larger or thicker the profile, the longer the cooling section can be. A complete extruder line with: extruder, water tank, discharge belt, saw or punch, discharge table costs at least 150,000 euros. But these are only the peripheral machine parts that are basically required. In addition, there are of course tool costs (extruder tool, calibration for the water tank, vacuum pumps, etc.) So you should calculate with at least 350,000 - 400,000 € ... rather more.
