They actually buffed her, never watched the show but from looking at this amv she couldn't escape a rope(or whatever was holding her back in the start) to escape, but when she turned good she literally pushed every single one of those monkeys off the cliff. Idk if the samurai guy is that strong but damn, she is packed.

Honestly the only reason I can see that happening in other stories is that they may rely on: cheap blows, evil tactics, doing anything they can to win. Or a certain magic that caused them to be corrupt, therefore becoming good means they no longer have that power. But yes, I like seeing villains that get turned good still retaining the power that made them well…villains!

The ending made me sad as hell. Jack deserved to have his happy ending after everything…..but at least he really was still happy and it’s heartwarming he was able to have a relationship with someone who was raised to kill him, when she saw how kind and calm he really was it completely changed her. I always really liked that.

@@Lord_Sunday They ruined everything good about the show. The prophecy was ignored, they added an awful love interest, it made no sense. Everyone was waiting for Jacks rematch with the Guardian, that never happened, Aku was killed in like 2 seconds, Jack erases ALL of his friends he made. The ending had no thought put into it at all. The love arc between Jack and Ashi was so forced and rushed. They focused more on trying to get me to care about this new character, IN A TEN EPISODE SEASON, then tying up loose ends and giving us a good resolution. It was like by the 7th episode they forgot they only had a few more and had to rush EVERYTHING for that awful conclusion.

I wouldn't say killing Samurai Jack is honorable, even to Aku it'd just be exactly what he told them to do. Aku never dealt in honor. Neither did Ashi's mother. I mean, Zuko just wanted to capture the Avatar They are similar, just not in ideologies or aspects like their morals.

It’s not that. Rather, it was repentance. Jack showed her that she was wrong, and it was her choice to swallow her pride and accept the fact that she was indeed wrong. It was never because she wasn’t being herself. But rather, because Jack had led her to the light.

Who would've thought that Jack accomplishing his goal of defeating Aku would come with a price that might break him. Very deep and sad ending, Jack had defeated Aku but feels sad and empty after everything, and might've regret his actions of defeating Aku if it cost Ashi her life, i kinda think Ashi knew Jack would hesitate to kill Aku if he knew she would also perish. Good thing he still remembers the time they had and is content and happy with it at the end.

I just finished watching Samurai Jack yesterday and ….Jeez. First things first, I need to say this show is absolutely amazing. Seasons 1-4 I felt like I was journeying through A normal “the hero eventually defeating the bad guy” (I’m okay with that tho bc they did an amazing job) It always gets me so hyper and feeling like a bad ass watching Jack just cut through waves and waves of robots. Tell you the truth if that was all it was I would’ve been happy because it’s fun to watch. Season 5…. You realize this is real really fast. What turned to a hero versus villain show turned into “Oh he’s actually insane, oh god he might actually die- IS THAT BLOOD?” Which by the way I’m really glad for the last season this shows went to adult swim, not only does the animation feel a lot smoother while still keeping that samurai Jack feeling, but it also shows horror the first time you see jack slice through…human flesh You also get a lot more of that humor aspect going on and comedic timing along with them bad ass fighting, Jokes that wouldn’t make it on Cartoon Network and it’s primetime and I love it. The show the finale, the big battle it’s everything I hoped it would be…. Now… WHY DID THEY HAVE TO DO THAT TO ASHI AND JACK CMON LIKE I KNOW IT MAKES SENSE BUT THEY ARE LIKE THE BEST COUPLE I HAVE EVER SEEN IM SALTY ABOUT THAT BUT AGAIN AMAZING SHOW 14/10 i’m going to go cry now bc they were perfect Also… Do you know that final scene of jack under the cherry blossom tree. I had that as my wallpaper when i was just started watching bc i thought it looked cool Now knowing the real meaning…It makes it better while ruining it for me at the same time Love this show.

@benaffblack
@benaffblack 2 жыл бұрын
@@WarChaserz ....none of that makes sense you know that right? Jack isn't immortal. Thats not how this time travel works...what you proposed is called the grandfather paradox, it's why Ashi died. You went back in time to stop something from happening, but in doing so you remove the one thing that gave you motivation/reason to go back in time in the first place, thus you would never go back in at at all if it doesn't exist as a problem in your future.
@Cleopatrlck
@Cleopatrlck 2 жыл бұрын
@@benaffblack its actually much simpler- Jack returned to the timeline he belongs in, so aku’s death doesnt really affect him- howver, ashi had not been born yet, so the universe corrects itself and she ceases to exist- until she is born in a now-nonexistent future (since aku is dead). In a way, she is no longer dead or alive, simply never born. Edit: long story short; that ashi is the reason jack returns does not matter- in the end, jack is unaffected due to him actually belonging in that timeline. Think of it as a “wave” of correction checking what belonged there at that moment, and removing what shouldn’t even exist there.

Jack should've reconsidered his goal by taking a moment to look at his travels in the future... Friends that have become family, Love, and a great many of people who trust him. Had he thought of this, he would've decided to defeat Aku in the future. He solved a near-impossible riddle that even the creatures who asked him the question didn't understand it, I'm sure he could understand the butterfly effect without being told about it. By going to the past and deciding to slay Aku there, all of that would've been undone in an instant - including his memories. While this is technically of some relief, it's quite bitter to say the least. He was never sent to the Future, he never had to adventure to find Aku, he never made friends, he never met Ashi, and he never fell in love with her... He did his duty, and that was it. I know this is a cruel look on the matter, but I want to express that I feel Jack deserves to be with Ashi and all his friends in the future. The past was merely a hometown to him... In the future, he had a new home. He should've stayed. I'm sure even the Scottsman would miss his buddy, if he remembered him...

Without Aku, She Never could have existed Without her, Jack could have never returned back to the past meaning Jack never could have killed Aku, Without Jack getting back to the past Aku could have never been killed meaning it should have resulted in a time paradox instead. Unless we are going to say going through the time portal made jack immune to any time rules what so ever in which case didn't Jack and Ashi also go through the exact same time portal again? Meaning Ashi should also be immune Unless that Time Portal does not work like that in which case does that mean Jack will end up living forever? Or have a very very slow aging pattern? Still seems like a plot hole to me if were going with basic time travel rules...

That or isnt it that jack is Returning to his present, to back before ashi was born, so technically if he killed aku there she ceases to exist. It makes sense if this is the case

The fact this ending was taken out of cannon by that damn video game is a crime, this ending was poetic, bitters sweet and made total sense for the time travel loop. people cry saying Jack deserved a happy ending, but happy endings don't always happen life is unfair, and it's in the ability to recognize that cruelty that comes inherently in life and choose to good in spite of it that makes hero's and role models. Like Jack did sat under the tree, when at his absolute lowest and most broken choose to stand up and carry on. It was the perfect ending to his hero's journey and they fucking ruined it.

I am happy the showed the alternative ending with her still alive. I mean the way I view time traveling now after Endgame is different. I used to think changing something in your past would always affect your future, but in the movie it explains a new path is just created. So I like to think the alternative ending is cannon in a sense.

It really is an achievement in animated entertainment. Can you think of any other show, animated or otherwise, that has an episode with a 22-minute run time without a single line of dialogue? This show does.

I really love how this show developed and ended man. The og samurai jack was so kid friendly, some episodes he'd be completely beat up but the next episode he'll be fine like nothing happened. In season 5 however, the episodes actually follow each other, and shows him being hurt from the previous episode. And bro the way they legit brought back characters from the first season till the last, like those elephant creatures and the talking dogs and my favorite, the scottsman it's like they're expecting the og viewers to have returned to see the last season with all the super old characters. Really really good show

I honestly believe that instead of having ashi die in the end, they should've said the reason for her living was Aku created an evil mindless puppet but with the help of samurai jack she overcame that darkness to be his light. So she's no longer just aku's puppet she became a great warrior of light beside jack, she became Ashi...
