Totally agree with you Amy..I worry that 40% of the voters don't see the London we love, and then convincing the other 60% to get up off their backsides and vote before we sleepwalk into an almighty mess is another question altogether.. I wish you well...

It's good. I'd like a bit more stress that all communities can unify under and share British values such as belief in free speech, drawing on faith and tradition but embracing the modern. Firm but kindly approach to teaching kids. Group activities and sports for teenagers to harness their energy positively.

Whilst I have reservations about using old and worn out narratives like broken windows and cracking down with stop and search. I think the police force needs fixing first before handing them these powers, they are not to be trusted at this point. Amy is the most likely to get my vote. Not sure about the SDP overall. I think that education and health need recapturing from corporate interest. The NHS is a national ongoing emergency. Unless a party can set in stone reversing Simon Stevens last 10 years of capture. Then i cant commit...

Pretty much agree with everything you stand for so Good Luck x, one disagreement though being the intention to remove (?) Low Traffic Neighbourhood measures...I'm personally sick of selfish drivers (not all drivers) shortcutting through backstreets at ridiculous speeds to save a couple of minutes whilst taking a chance on pedestrian lives, normally happening during rush hour, often at school arrival/departure times.

I like her alot, but she should have gone for an assembly place, not the mayor race. No one knows her or the SPD. She won't get the 5% required to even get her deposit back. Especially now we are somehow back to first past the post, a vote for Amy is unfortunatly an unintentional vote for Khan, Please realise this & do the only thing you can to get rid of Khan, which is vote Susan Hall. Even this is a slim possiblity & i know IOd rather have Amy by a mile of course. I don't even know Susan tbh, but i just know Khan has to go and Voting Susan Hall is the only possible way that can happen. I urge you all to tell Amy you all want her (as do I) but we have to vote Hall for mayor. Nothing else can work.

That's how I used to think, but it's also means things can never change. I joined the SDP knowing they weren't going to form a government anytime soon, or maybe my lifetime, but a start has to be made somewhere and I'm in the company of others who share my views. The vote is the only political power we have, I'd rather know I've at least voted for what I believe in and lose than do nothing.

I think some of that is beyond the scope of the Mayor of London, but the SDP website has more details about values and policies. Obviously if they were in double digits in the polls with a chance of winning lots of Parliamentary seats this year - there would be much finer detail.

Less than a minute in, I'd had enough of her. Proper SDP - like Shirley Williams - wouldn't recognise this identity politics nonsense. Then she complains about division! Lots of what she doesn't like, little of what she will do. Love the comments many of which aren't from people even in London.

@@ajpdaniels You overlooked the economically left leaning part by the sounds of it but yes they are socially conservative and frankly have the most robust anti immigration policies which I would imagine you don’t like. My take is that it is liberalised economic responses which appear to drive mass immigration which then causes secondary economic impulses through housing, wages and services. SDP only party to tackle head on the bogus neo liberal economic order. Similar to the late Frank Field (Lab).

@@ajpdaniels The original Gang of Four lived in a country that was over 95% ethnic British. It goes with out saying that during the 1980’s idpol was neither relevant nor necessary to anyone of any ethnicity. London at under 30% wBritish is a very different matter. If you introduce too many different competing groups into a system it stands to reason you will get conflict.
