My fav scenes 1. When Doc says " why do you have to be so human" and Rory replies with " becuase right now im not". 2. River "Yesss"

Back in the angel episode in the forest inside the Byzantium I remembered how he suddenly had his coat jacket back on in that one scene despite having taken it off to escape earlier in the episode, and then had it off for the remainder of the episode. I absolutely love how they disguised an important plot point hint as simply being a common production continuity error so you wouldn’t give it too much thought. Brilliant! I’ve never seen any show do anything like that.

Matt Smith knocks it out of the park whenever he does his speeches. In the first episode it was "I'm the doctor. Basically... run". Then it was "you are so much less than the best of humanity". And then "Think about every black day I stopped you and then do the sensible thing - let someone else try first". I adore him. He's goofy but can totally switch it up and rip out your heart strings when needed.

I love this finale two-parter for so many reasons (River alone makes it great), but it was a game changer when it came out. In the Classic series, companions got married because it was a way to write characters off of the show when the actors wanted to leave. There were no married couples in the TARDIS. That changed with the power couple of Rory and Amy.

It's been nearly 14 years since this aired and it still gets me emotional. A truly excellent bit of writing from Steven Moffat, and the cast just knocked it out of the park. And yes, Rory is the MVP. He is loyalty personified.

I think the best part was when they introduced the fez. Steven Moffat, the writer, initially pitched it, but everyone tried to deny it because they knew Matt would never take it off. He reassured them by promising that after introducing the fez, he'd immediately destroy it. Luckily, it found a way back.

Great reaction. In the previous episode where the Doctor talks to Amy, if you look carefully, you can see he is wearing his jacket. Some people thought it was a continuity error but many suspected it was some sort of time travel thing. The Tardis being describe as something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue was an absolutely inspired piece of writing by Moffat.

It gets better. This four year period of Matt Smith just all links together beautifully- as you point out first, the quality of the writing is next level. It builds & builds into elements of future seasons. My fav period of any sci-fi show- enjoy what’s next.

Damn, I just bawled... 😅🤭 I forgot how brilliant these were. Once you have a complete overview, Moffat's writing makes so much sense. And it's so brilliant, romantic, beautiful, clever and funny. This is PEAK Doctor Who. Don't worry, no spoilers, but it will get worse.... Still, series 6 and 9 are my favorite seasons of the show, so I can't wait. 😅 You're in for a treat...

River & Captain Jack are my two favorite reoccurring characters.

15:08 Haha! That's what I called foreshadowing! To be fair at this point, the universe is just under threat constantly in every series XD not a town, or the Earth, or the Solar System, or the Milky Way Galaxy... it's the universe itself that is being threatened...

For the week between these two episodes, Steven Moffat was making noises like the next episode would just be a compilation of flashbacks, because the universe had just ended.

Once again, I still can't wait for you to find out who River is. It's been so fun watching you react to all these episodes.

Great reaction video. I still think that S5 is just perfect, and the way the finale pulls everything together is brilliant. I love how we've been teased that 'silence will fall' all season, and then the audio at the end of TPO cuts out just before the end of the episode. A nice touch. The next episode is a bit special, too.

Everything the BBC managed to do, specifically from the 10th Doctor onwards, on what is effectively a shoe-string budget, is recorded proof, that an amazing story and great actors are far more important than throwing good money after bad.

My mind is blown I bet yours is too Well, I guess this is Doctor Who It's the Big Bang Two and I need to review What on earth just happened before my eyes Time has gone askew the universe has too I'll try and explain to you the Big Bang Two The Big Bang Two! The Doctor's got River's vortex manipulator Which he'll use to meet Rory 2000 years later When they meet Amy after her sleep in the box They realise the sun is really the exploding TARDIS Doctor saves River from the imitating star This woman watches back can't help but point out the obvious~ Oh my God he's wearing a fez! Oh my God he's wearing a fez!! Oh my God he's wearing a fez!!! Oh my God he's wearing a fez!!!! A Dalek pops up out of nowhere!!!!! Shoots the Doctor kills him, quite unfair He jumps back 12 minutes to the stairs He's dead! And everyone despairs Little do they know the Doctor lies He's gone stopping the universe’s demise Amy says her last goodbyes Doctor flies up into the skies~ The universe is back it's true But the Doctor's said his final adieu Maybe he'll come back if she remembers... you~ It's the Big Bang Two and I need to review What on earth just happened before my eyes Time has been renewed the universe has too But Amy still can't help but cry Someone's missing, the question's who? The first Matt smith Xmas special is my favourite Xmas specials by miles. Don't know if you've seen it yet but for me it's when Matt truly found his Doctor.

Hey Justice, I also wanted to tell you that I’m moving out of my mom’s house and this year I was thinking about traveling to Texas, so maybe we’ll finally meet each other. (Just so you know I am extremely shy in person)

I did not like episode 12. Moffat sometimes tries to throw mysteries at us, but they're only as good as our inability to see the solutions. WHO IS THE GREAT TRICKSTER ENEMY THAT ALL THE DOCTOR'S ENEMIES ARE FRIGHTENED OF????? C'mon, Moffat, some of us have been watching since the Pertwee era. But #13 makes up for it with great character moments, a ton of them. I would trade a thousand mind-blowing plot twists for just one Rory waiting 2000 years. I would trade a thousand mind-blowing fight scenes for just one Doctor dancing ridiculously and Amy laughing.
