As a constant listener to Bruce Springsteen since my early teens, Amy's version touched me deeper than any time before from the very first time I heard it. Magnificent. A very special talent and person ❤

Having listened to Springsteen's Born in the USA CD for about 35 years it took me a moment to attune to this performance. But the way Amy modulates her voice brings the same emotions across, even more so than in the (over?) orchestrated version. I wonder about probably being the oldest fan of her singing, my 77th birthday is coming up soon :-Don ald

I’m 49 I grew up loving the Boss’s songs. They are life love and songs people relate to. I’m also a fan of Amy and her covers of the Boss are as emotional as his performances. Absolutely love this content.

I loved this so much. I grew up listening to Bruce. I am still inspired in present day. Thankyou Amy. Man I love her - I have to take a step back I love my Scotish people. When I see them suffer -You know this is what the English did. I have a desire to get amongst my Celtic people and make things right. I'm done, I'm leaving Liverpool for Scotland.

Thank you so much. Heard this song on the once Bruce Springsteen concert in East-Berlin summer 1987. It was the first breast of freedom we was feeling. 2 years later the Berlin wall was open for us. It's very emotional for me. I was fresh married with the love of my live and this live changed complitly with this soundtrack in our ears. All the best and big hug 🤗

Just love your emotive voice since it makes it truly stirs nice emotions. As an instrumental guitarist, I also adore your touch on your guitar since you sound so clear with a lovely tone. Your personal use of higher notes from time to time with your chords creates a nice subtle change in the heartfelt sound that is complemented by your influential melodic voice. So inspiring and many cheers!

Hello Amy, Perfect. :) Many, many thanks for uploading. You have made my day. I know you have met Springsteen because I have seen this on KZfaq not too long ago and I watched two Springsteen documentaries the most recent one In His Own Words. I wouldn't think of myself as musically gifted but I'm just thrilled to bits that you as a world class songwriter - world class - love Springsteen's music so I must have some musical giftedness somehow or other. I can't even tune an acoustic guitar with a tuning fork in a reliable way and I met a German man who could tune an acoustic guitar just by ear. Incredible. When I was doing my doctorate in physics 1981/1986 I was in a club in Galway city on the west coast of Ireland that Richie McDermot invited me to. Richie now dead and whose job in the physics department was just to deliver the mail and make ready common room and the adjoining kitchen was my very own living breathing guardian angel and he used to literally stand behind me watching just like a real guardian angel. Have you ever heard of Lorna Byrne who sees angels two of whose books I have? That night when I was in the club I got up and sang the Glen Campbell(Jimmy Webb) song Gentle On My Mind and I still recall how much two women, who were sisters, enjoyed dancing there below me on the dance floor. I was being accompanied by a keyboard player and while I may be very much mistaken I was able to connect somehow with the keyboards to deliver the song such that no way now how have I got a great singing voice unaccompanied. Can I risk saying that it was as if I was one with the keyboards somehow? It was just wonderful and I was suffering very much at this time and would continue to suffer for many more decades till now at last me 67 in July I am feeling so much better. I will always wonder how my life might have been transformed if I had from then on been going to the club to sing every weekend. A friend of mine who works in this neighbourhood who literally cleans the streets round here gave me a Christmas present of Yamaha keyboards YPT-255. I hold out the hope that might learn how to play chords on this keyboard. This man is musically gifted and he loves the music of the 60's. He plays rhythm acoustic guitar and I have urged him to perform before people that will sharpen up his playing to the max. Peter Nolan. Ph.D.(physics). Dublin. Ireland.

Hi , sir Peter , I am a boy from renowed India , presently in 11 grade, I read your comment, I got my taste of music from a friend of mine and he introduced me to Springsteen when we were in 10th standard, presently I think so I have a great taste of music for myself. Sir I want to share that I am extremely interested and facinated towards Physics. Einstein, Feyman , Hawkings , Tesla are my heroes. Sir I want to do PhD in physics, can you show a bit of guidance.

@@s.mohdtabish7532 Hello S. MOHD TABISH, Well I began going to school when I was 4 years old here in Dublin. Then when I was 8 I began what we call here in Ireland primary school from September 1961 to June 1966. At that time science was not taught in primary school but I studied English, Irish and Mathematics during that time. Then I entered first year in what we call over here secondary school in September 1966. Science, that was chemistry, physics and biology, was now a subject being taught to us and many other subjects like history and geography and Spanish for example. Now that I was being taught chemistry, physics and biology I was in seventh heaven. I was so excited. I couldn't have been any happier than I was. However chemistry is my first love but I am not like many people because I love physics just as much as I love chemistry. However I am not a biologist and I understood this from the very start. We had an important exam back then called The Intermediate Certificate that we sat aged 15 but close to 16 and I got an A grade in science. I was so happy. Then I entered 5th and 6th year and left school when I was almost 18 in June of 1971 and entered university UCD(University College Dublin). Google for more information about UCD in October 1971. I graduated with a B.Sc. in experimental physics in September of 1975 and went to Nairobi, Kenya Africa to teach physics, chemistry and applied maths for four years and when I returned to Dublin I began a M.Sc. in UCD in October 1979 after I got a M.Sc. in theoretical physics from the University Of Nairobi under Prof. Joseph Otieno Malo and if you Google you can read more about Prof. Malo. He has strong connections with Sweden and the University of Uppsala but I'm not too well clued in about all that. Again Google for more info. When I got the M.Sc. in atmospheric physics from UCD in June 1981 I then went to UCG(University College Galway) that is now called NUI(National University Of Ireland) Galway in October 1981 where I got my doctorate, again in atmospheric physics, and conferred in November 1986. Then sadly in April of 1987 tragedy came into my life and the whole course of my career changed. I'm not almost 67 and I still think about a problem in physics to better understand how the hydrogen atom really works and I've been thinking about this problem since I was 20. I am still very optimistic that even at this late stage in my life that I will crack this problem and make a fantastic world class breakthrough. I hope and pray this will all work out but it may not be God's Will for me. It might be though and I live in hope for better days. Have you heard the Springsteen song Better Days? I know there are not too many people in the world who love chemistry and physics as much as I do. So please stay in school and keep learning and it won't be long before you too will be in one of the great Indian Universities where you can get all the university degrees up to Ph.D.. Very best wishes for the future, Peter.
