Watched it for the second time today...It's brilliant. Towards the end of the documentary you can see that she really was trying to get her life back on track. It also seemed like her bodyguard was the only one who actually cared about her. It's really sad, the media and paparazzi didn't help either. The scenes with show presenters (eg graham norton) and comedians making fun of her was heartbreaking too...How I wish her father didn't stop her from going to Rehab...maybe she might still be with us today. The closing scene in the documentary also gets me every time. RIP Amy...can't believe it's 5 years already.

Went to the cinema last week to watch this, tbh cried the whole 2hours. This seriously opened my eyes. I thought i knew like everything of her, but after this movie i realised that she was so much more. Missing her more and more everyday. She didn't see herself as a star or famous or anything, she told in almost everywhere that she's just a girl that sings. She just wanted to be loved, too bad she fell into Blake. In my opinion he ruined actually everything. He treated her as a thing, not as she deserved. She first left her because of another girl and then just married Amy. She was so in love.. She didn't realise that he didn't love her. And then he just left her once again. She didn't care about the paparazzies or what people thought of her. She was so strong, too bad she left us so early

I'm not usually into documentaries, but this movie right here is an exception. I wasn't a diehard fan of Amy but I certainly always loved her voice, her music and her style, back when she was a living breathing legend... She was in a league of her own, and unlike many artists and famous people I think she earned the respect and the recognition from the public before her death (and arguably lost it all). I knew relatively very little of her life (since I never was a tabloid reader), basically that she was a singer-songwriter who mixed jazz and pop, and her drug and alcohol addictions which she also wrote and sang about, eventually brought her premature- and sadly all too common- death. I never knew of the way some people treated her- mainly her ex husband Blake and her father; all she wanted from them was love, and from the movie it looks like all they wanted from her was personal interests (still, it's a movie so I'm sure it's not as black and white). For the entire movie I've held back my tears until I could no longer keep them at the scene when her body is taken... I was moved by her friendships and her conflicting personality and private problems and relationships... She had an intense life. There's no denying what she contributed to the world with only two albums, she was seriously gifted and unique, something rare in the music scene and the world generally. I think all of the things that happened to her- the hard fall from the top to rock bottom, the people she let down, the people who used her, her bad choices, the overwhelming fame and obviously her mental health- led to her demise. I wouldn't call it a suicide, but it's hardly shocking given her life. It'd be wrong to blame the public, the press, certain individuals in her life, and even the alcohol, for what happened; after all, whether intentionally or not, she had the final word on her life. Wish she'd stick around.

As much as I love Amy Winehouse's music, this trailer and the story it depicts, I would not have minded if it did not focus so much on the tragedy of her life like its some sensational story, although her life is extremely interesting, but focusing on maybe the mundane parts of her. Her, as a human, in the general sense rather than just as a singer who died.

I agree with you, but unfortunately thats where the drama comes from. You cant make a documentary about her without talking about some of the most dramatic parts of her life and frankly the dysfunctional parts of her life are what caught the public eye. Im not saying its right im just saying that this is what people want to see. The documentarians ultimately have to make something people want to see.

i remember when i was younger i used to listen to her amazing voice every night, as this was the best medicine for my trouble with sleeping. She was something that i would dance to, cry to or sing; basically her death was like a hard blow for me and for many people, a feeling similar to loosing a friend. She was and IS special and wont ever be forgotten thank you Amy and remember "We only said goodbye with words"

I have always loved amy Winehouse. She was very real and talented, I recently purchased one of her albums and I've been listening to it non stop. I miss her all the time she was so beautiful and misunderstood and people judged her too much without even knowing her.

today i have seen on internet, that in my city, in 20 minutes, AMY is in our cinema. I quickly dressed up , toke money and ran to the cinema. I don't regret it, i love her so much and with that document, i know more things about her. And when i was in the cinema, i was crying.

Nobody like her, a supremely talented artist unparalleled by any artist today. Amy Winehouse is one of those singers/lyricists that only come around once every decade or longer. Nobody even comes close, she is one of the elite.

My father raised me with an intense appreciation, an adoration really, for commanding female singers and musicians. Any Winehouse was among those artists of course, there's not exact words for the emotions her works elicit, its a profound and haunting sense of both energy and melancholy. A cold so harsh it makes you feel warm, but all that aside I'll be stoked to see this in theaters, truly a life and woman worth celebrating with every passing day.

Well the trailer was emotional enough. the grief I still continue to feel over her death is something I'd never expected from a celebrity dying. she is the face of the phrase "gone too soon". you're truly missed in all that you were Amy.

WOW, the soundtrack for this was just released on Google Music Play so I had NO IDEA that this film documentary was made. The trailer alone was so emotionally powerful, I think I will be keeping a box of Kleenex by me when I see this film. WOW. Powerful!!

I'm so fed up with people blaming Blake. I'm so fed up with people talking about her lifestyle and say that nobody helped her. All of this *IS* true but she would've hated to be remember for that. The true love of her life was music. Let's remember her for that. She does not deserve to be remembered for this crappy stuff . I might be hated for this comment, but I have decided to remember her as a diva, a beautiful, sensitive, magnificent diva who was gifted with an unforgettable voice.

Johanns Rogers nah Lauren Socha and AMy both fit in the category of Chavs. Aubrey is American and is classified under dead pan-hipster comedy. Aubrey doesnt make sense at all. I'mean shes gorgeous and funny. but LAUREN SOCHA fits perfectly.
