To be fair those who distinctly remember 1986 Bon Jovi probably need bifocals by now. I am 41 (now in 2020) so if this was from 07 I would have been 28. I graduated highschool in 97 and in 86 I was 7 years old. I did know this 07 Bon Jovi, I believe it was the Sting, Brian Adams, BonJovi collab I Will Love You Always. While I knew the music of BonJovi and I loved Def Leppard my whole life, I had hippy parents so I listened to a lot of records with my dad like Pink Floyd, Sex Pistols, Jimi Hnerix, Janis Joplin, man I loved Joplin, got her on CD now, and my mom was a Bob Dylan girl, get this when Wall Flowers got popular she heard them and was able to pick up that Jacob Dylan was related to Bob just from his VOICE! Anyway, point is anyone who was a teen or older in the 80s who actually listed for original BonJovi probably either couldn't see him well enough on TV or can't see him well enough now on a phone to know if he looks the same lol....

@@MommyOfZoeAndLiam you've got a point I just watched this on my phone with my reading glasses on and I was 16 in '86, it was a great time in music and funny thing this is the first time I ever saw an 80s hair, clothes everything look on YT that was literally just like me and my friends back then. I'm a little afraid to look up what Bon Jovi looks like now especially if I see on my tv and really see, kinda want to hold on to all the happy memories I can we've lost so many 80s singers and actors it's getting sad

Yessss and right up til 1995 I kept my Jersey hair high. Then got a “Karen” white blonde graduated epic stacked Bob for the entire 2000’s 😂 that was wayyyy before any Karen was going to customer service

We must be the same age as this was me also. Bon Jovi&Cinderella was my 1st concert in Detroit,Mich. Even in my 30's&40's had a room in my house with all my Bon Jovi memoribilla. I met him twice&he even signed my shoulder&i got it tatooed&have a Bon Jovi tattoo in the middle of my back. Will ❤Bon Jovi forever but really need Ritchie back!!

This sketch is so great once you've read Amy Poehler's book 'Yes please'. It represents her life in a very funny way, mixing real stories/facts (such as the bedroom looking like her real one did) with humor. I can only imagine how great it must have been for the real 16 year old Amy to hear this news. Okay I can keep rambling on here, I just really admire her, and it's so amazing to see what she accomplished. For everybody who has not read her book yet, please do. It is amazing and very inspiring.

I'm sort of glad this didn't happen to me. I had Axl Rose's poster on my wall, so I imagine it would have ended quite differently. He would probably have given me a ten minute lecture that sounded impressive without making any sense, broken my camera, and taken a swing at me before disappearing for 15 years.

he did a bit, but u could tell he had it mostly memorized. I know some people have better memories than others and that they don't actually get that long to remember their lines, but you can tell who puts in the effort to remember them. It makes the sketches 100xs better too.

Love this one! Fun fact, according to Amy's book: JBJ actually dug that outfit out of his archives, so it's actually legit. And as many others have mentioned the room was modeled after her real childhood bedroom.

I saw him at a Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga show in 2021. I mistakened him for mick jagger, but as he walked up the aisle,I was like “oh sh *t it’s Bon Jovi!” So I was like I better say something. I shouted “BON JOVI I LOVE YOU!” And he waved back at me! Such a nice and humble man.

Nothing reminded me of the 80' s more then when she started spraying her hair saying, " i ' ve got to get my hair higher. " I remember being drowned in mists of Aqua Net and Rave holding sprays when in the girls' bathroom at school. That stuff turned my relaxed hair to paper. Lol!!

I worked at The Limited for years. Anyone who wanted to work there, but did not, dodged a bullet, Mr Crazy. Nothing to write home about 🤷🏼♀️. Having said that, I worked for Bath and Body Works even longer. It was the warmest working environment I’ve ever experienced. The company is such a joy to work for.

OMG. My best friend started her period on the balance beam. I was up stairs in the weight room listening to all the guys talking about some girl in bloody shorts. When I looked down, to my horror it was my friend.
