To please God, we must pray to him in secret that is scripture, however most people go with what is popular and that is praying before the world. A huge leap from just praying with other people.

@@YahsdaughterJDthe Bible called out the Pharisees because they were praying for attention and being hypocritical in their religiosity. They were showing off their understanding and knowledge for others to praise them. They were being holier than thou. There is nothing wrong with praying in public or in front of people. Jesus did it all the time and so did His apostles. They prayed over people In public and called for change in public. Praying in private is most important and should be practiced always but having boldness and praying in public for others or around others in purity of heart is totally fine!

The point she was making is that we should NOT be afraid to pray in front of others. Yes, we shouldn't make a "show" of praying, as in wanting others to see us pray, but we shouldn't not pray because we are "afraid" of others seeing us. Too many of us are busy being secret Christians, when we have been called to let our lights shine and to go out and make disciples of men for Jesus. God bless

OMG! I cried tears of joy for Amyah! I started watching you guys when Amyah was so little. The little babies weren't even born yet. She has been super intelligent all her life. Awards after awards! Very articulate and well spoken. An inspiring role model for all her younger siblings! Always smiling! Beautiful on the outside, beautiful smile, beautiful personality, confident, courageous and most importantly, God fearing! Amyah will be great in her studies and will continue to make her parents proud! She will be the brightest light at UC Berkeley!

“Amyah don’t tell yourself you can’t do stuff”. Is this moment I felt joes presents. Joe is there but as shown in the prayer scene he’s emotions are rather mysterious but his reaction in this moment I felt that. Amyah you got this your family is your rock. Mom, dad and your siblings.

😢❤ Congratulations Amyah!! 👏🎉👏 I felt the same way 14 years ago, when my first born reached 10yrs and he was leaving primary school entering secondary schools they grow so fast. it's a wake up call, that time goes so quickly and appreciate every moment, now my son will be 24 in two months time, my third child is Amyah 's age and experiencing the same as Amyah right now. I literally smiled through the entire video. While Joe prayed, I questioned his breaks between words, then I realized he was tearing. My eyes became "warm/heated"...😢 Love a family that prays together and shows outward expressions of love.❤

It's hard for a Dad to see his daughter evolving into adulthood. And he can not protect her from afar. Joe is learning what a Faith walk is all about. @@CandyCoated96 , thank you as a parent, grandma, and great-grandma. One has to trust that you had raised your children to be their best person and not a clone of you. Because God chose us to parent them, therefore, we must give the blueprint for a successful life. “ Train them up on the way they shall go.” Parents navigate their child's life from the womb to adulthood. This latter part of that verse in the Bible is a promise from God. “ When they are old, they will not depart from it.” “Many things will tangle their feet, but nothing will hold on to them.” No weapon formed against them shall prosper- the word of the Lord. I am so happy for them, and I wish them great success in life, marriage, and love. P.S. I cried and rejoiced with them, too!

I can't deal! Found you guys by chance. I went back to watch old videos. Remember you guys in the old house, years before the move - the girls were so little. Brother was so little. New babies. I teary eyed as if my own niece is starting her new adventure. And Joe! He is always so calm. To see him emotionally "unemotional" (as he put it) is so refreshing. Bon Chance, Amyah! As a woman who raised my only son alone with his dad in the background looking on, I so appreciate Joe and I’m so hoping that as she matures Amaya continues to color him Father. As someone said, he shows no difference between the biological children and his own his calm and steadfast demeanor, his ability to allow his wife to be herself his love for God, and this cool confidence is so wonderful God bless you, Joe God bless all the children that you are raising. Oh my goodness, Joe made me cry during the prayer!! I have watched this channel since before Ajedi was born. I told my mom about this channel back then and she started watching it too. The Internet aunties are so proud of Amyah. We are also so humbled by the commitment Alena and Joe have to their family and each other. Amyah said it, “God is so good!!” With all that’s going on in the world it is just a blessing to see this moment. I’m a little behind and watching the videos because I knew that I wanted to take ample time to just witnessed what this was like for you all. I’m continuing to pray for the family and for Amyah as she embarks on this part of her life.

This was so beautiful and captured so wonderfully. My daughter is 8 and I’m over here bawling at the thought of her growing up and leaving home. But it’s such a blessing at the same time. God is so good! Sending love and prayers to Amayah on her new chapter!

The university stage is one of the most beautiful stages of study, and it shows self-reliance and parental pride. I graduated from college last September. Looking at younger people going through this experience is a beautiful and nostalgic thing. I wish you all the best.

It was so special watching her grow up and stay rooted and grounded in her faith. That alone is so special for her generation. I’ve always felt that Amayah is destined for greatness. Honestly, I am so happy to see her going off on her own to college especially the young lady she's grown into. Its also so crazy because I remember her being a yougin making me feel so old rn lol. Blessings to her! To you parents as well it will be an adjustment for all. How are the other big girls taking it? As an older sister, I hope she can enjoy this time only having to be responsible for herself and steward this time well while havinf fun!

Thank you both for sharing this journey. My precious husband went home 4/2016. This Fall 24, I am taking 2 daughters to 2 different universities. I Praise the Lord for His goodness and faithfulness. I feel your tears. I will be repeating this journey in less then 4 years with my 14 yo son sooner than I want to think. Blessings from Houston Philippians 4:13; 3 John 4

I kept face the entire time when we moved my son into his dorm. The moment we hit the road I cried like a baby. I was thanking God the entire time. Love this for you all
