God this song is so good, the emotional maturity displayed is so uncharacteristic of a lot of country music, makes it all the more refreshing to hear

emotional maturity. thats it. real love makes you the person you always were supposed to be.

That emotion has been missing from radio country for a long time. It is very hard to find elsewhere. You may also enjoy Turnpike Troubadours. The songwriter has a wonderful way home painting a picture with his lyrics.

I’ve dove into Stu’s music recently and came out a better person, not only for myself but for the people around me. Your lyrics leak into my life daily, and often I find myself reciting words to your songs in conversation or interaction that relate to that situation. Thank You Sturgill, time to kick back and relax sir, you’ve done your part.

I've seen him with a couple of different backing bands, and this is by far the most wholesome. Like, I know they are world-class musicians, but I just like to imagine that they all live a block from each other and practice in each other's backyards.

traveled from South Georgia to see the concert in VA beach since it was the only place Tyler Childers was originally playing. I listened to Sturgil somewhat so i knew a decent amount of his songs but ever since this concert, he's been on repeat. He is truly a one of a kind artist and i cannot get enough! his music really makes me tear up (especially this song) and i love any kind of art that can impact me heavily enough to bring me to tears.

yea....no matter how many times i listen, right about the time he sings "so i search all around tryin to feel you, but all i find is a world without light"? i'm wet-eyed every time....i don't know how you could better describe the feeling of losing someone you love?

All the lyrics I find say "Can ever love me" but boy it sure sounds like "Can never love me" and Im a musician.. and it is a little trick a lot of us use to transition from word to word. Sometimes we arent even saying the word just something that sounds like it. That little difference in 1 word changes the whole meaning of this song. The first he really misses her.. the 2nd he really misses her, but feels he deserves where he is. I wonder if Mr SS is playin a bit of a trick on us with that.. If anyones got any insight free to drop a comment.
