I like your plan. I have margin available also but thinking of just buying enough each month so I still get some payout and the margin is paid each month and grow it over time.

@@60sekundenpolitik more than that now, I buy amzn shares than I do covered calls on my shares and with the premium income I receive I buy amzy shares I just keep repeating every month

why are u waiting for ex dividend date and not before to buy in?

Because the price of assets always drops on ex day.

Why wait til.ex div amazy already dropped plus youll get a much bigger div and still be able to take that bigger div n buy more shares at a lower ex div dropped price but remember despite what ppl.tell.you the etf doesnt have to drop by its div payout in fact often the drop is half the div payout or less remember amzy doesnt own shares of amzn its all a option play weird thingz can happen but what you know today is amzy fell hard today n you can get in at this price amzn could be in a rebound next week and you may find your self missing out on a big dividend and buying in at a price higher than todays price

I definitely thought about doing that when the price hit 22.00 on friday. We'll see what happens the first few days this week......
