Then it was a "Not no, hell no!" situation where the US took a step back and Europe panicked by forming the EU, and Japan's economy took a nose dive. Then when the Soviet Union collapsed, the US tried to help out Russia and found out that the USSR had a deep seeded well hidden mafia complex and scared them away (for the most part), and China (elected) a leader dedicated to drag the whole country back to communism, and yet somehow take over the US as the world leader. Not really seeing it working out for either one of them. The only country in the whole world that has shown any appreciation for saving it's ass is South Korea. So, as far as I am concerned, the US and S Korea can be their respective trading partners and let the rest of the world figure their own fates.
