A day in the life of an 83-year-old grandmother who revived the street food stall district
This time, we asked to film a day in the life of Sayoko, a yatai stall owner who has revitalized the yatai street. Hakata is known as a town of yatai stalls, but this grandmother's stall is located a little far from the downtown area. She has been running her yatai for 44 years. She is very kind and caring, some of her customers have been coming for decades, some say she was very kind to them when they were young, and some help her with her stall, and they love her very much. Until just a few months ago, there was only one stall in the area, this old lady's stall, and for three years, only one person, only one stall. She told me that there were days when she felt very Lonely. But she still continues to run the stall because of the customers who come to her in adoration. She is still there today.
