You got to admit, the ending scene was by far one of the best. And the fact that Jimmy Stewart, an acting legend marked the end of his acting career by saying something that was actually really beautiful and powerful. As if he was giving us his last word of advice.

A big theme in this movie is Fievel's imagination. We constantly see manifestations of his imagination the entire run time. That's why his hat does that and no one questions it. Because to everyone else in the film, it's still his old hat

Same here, though I didn't see Cats Don't Dance until pretty late / far afterwards. Watched West, Land Before Time, NIMH, Balto and of course a ton of others a billion times. And I also didn't know about or realize the first movie was made before West. Learning about it afterwards made me think it was made afterwards, but I also didn't actually watch it until way afterwards (which is strange in hindsight, since I loved West a lot - maybe I thought it would be the worse sequel).

Honestly, I like Tamara; as a person, she seems nice. But damn, her shows are absolutely awful. There's no production to them. It's just her talking with no semblance of structure and barely any clips. As for Channel Awesome... honestly, team-up sites like it are a thing of the past and simply aren't needed in the age of KZfaq and Patreon (and a few former contributors like Angry Joe had long ago outgrown CA). This controversy only quickened the inevitable. I will still watch the Nostalgia Critic if Doug leaves the site though.

I love James Stewart, he's such a good actor. I feel so sorry for him, just due to his character's name. Also, this film looks gorgeous. It's shot like an actual Western, and, though it's a small thing, the animation has REALLY small borders for the backgrounds, something I'm a big fan of.

At least unlike Cars 2, this unrelated sequel is actually watchable. Cars 2 is uninteresting, unfunny, and exists for the sole purpose of selling toys. Thank goodness Cars 3 came around and put the franchise back in order (as well as inadvertently sparking the rift between the old guard and the youth movement in NASCAR).

I wouldn't go that far. The sequel still touches on themes of immigration and how a mesmerizing new home can have darker implications and caviates below the surface. I can't let this slide... The entire dog chase scene with Tiger is the best frigging scene in the movie! Excellent slapstick timing and Dom DeLuis giving it 110% losing his shit. This movie is definitely a guilty pleasure, but it's FAR better than Cars 2 lol

Cars 2 wouldn't be so bad if it was titled as a spin-off movie, like an extension of the Mater's Tales segments. Cars 3 is the true sequel to Cars 1.

Road Glider Google "change the channel". Basically a bunch of content creators accused Channel Awesome of having a toxic environment, and some sexual harassment claims were made. A bunch of people left the Channel and its rumored that just a couple days ago Doug and Rob left Channel Awesome, and are suing them. If true, it's the end of Channel Awesome, as Doug and Rob are, by far, their most popular producers.

Here's how bad it was; the next movie, (which really isn't much better or holds any more connection to the themes of the original) explicitly makes this movie out to be a dream Fievel had
@supermariof0521

To be honest, "Treasure of Manhattan Island" is a HUGE improvement from "Fievel Goes West". For one thing it actually felt like a genuine follow up to the original in terms of art style, setting, tone, and spirit.
