I've lived in Germany my whole life, I consider myself to be a geography nerd, but damn dude, I would NEVER get 300 cities in Europe! You're the GOAT. So much respect for you, sir!

Don't worry, such knowledge is practically useless. It's like to know all atomic masses for all elements from periodic table. Cool but useless :)

I'm absolutely impressed with your Europe knowledge! I consider myself good at European Geography and got 518 cities, but 230 of them in my home country of Germany. So outside of that we are on the same level! You even beat me in a few countries! Once again: Thick knowledge, man! :)

When it comes to recalling cities and towns, in most cases for me personally the greatest helps are sport teams and clubs's names. Big credit to you my friend for this achievement, must have been tons of efforts put into it!

Wow. Most Americans probably couldn't even name all the European countries and you even drop names like Sardegna. Respect! To learn more German cities I guess it would help having more areas covered for street view. No wonder you don't remember what's in the middle - not even google knows that those cities exist^^

You’re incredible ! I’m into geography and I enjoy doing quiz about cities etc in Europe but I would never have guessed so much of them in Europe, especially Eastern Europe ! Really impressed !!

The one you called: "Skomazethly" (szombathely) is pronounced as som-batt-hei, lol, i laughed so hard on that one. Also great video, i tought you will name max 10 cities not almost 300 🤯

Great effort, especially for a non-European! Some of the cities I was screaming at the screen for you to get were Dortmund, Utrecht, Southampton and Cagliari, but seriously great job

"Mo" is a very common place name in Norway, and the largest of all the Mos is in the municipality of Rana. So "Mo in Rana".

Haha Bradford saving your skin. Cool to hear your family hails from Yorkshire or that you have family there anyway! Also, Skelmanthorpe is a place, but it’s a little village outside Huddersfield. Good job though, UK towns and cities are my bread and butter. If you want to give it another shot sometime, don’t forget some cities that are cities next to more well known cities, like Salford which is within spitting distance of Manchester, or some around Birmingham like Wolverhampton, Dudley or Walsall. Think satellite towns, also thinking of football teams helps if you know any.

Yep, about half my family lives in Yorkshire, mostly around Wakefield. I've got some cousins in the Skelmanthorpe area too

26:40 the state of Nordrhein-Westfalen alone (where Essen, Düsseldorf and Cologne are located) has 29 cities with more than 100.000 people :D The Rhine-Ruhr metro area is Europes 3rd biggest metro area, with a total of about 10 Million people

"Cities" There are even villages in the database. So I got 218 in my home country Austria, 66 in my neighbour country Germany and 48 in the next neighbour Italy. In sum I got 450 (played for approx. 2 hours) 300 in one hour for an outsider is applaudable!

You got Lelystad right, but in Dutch you pronounce the E as you pronounce the I in English. That's why he didn't recognize Lilystad. Good work btw, keep it up! 👍🏻

I got more than 350 cities in the Netherlands while trying this. We have a lot of very small towns everywhere.

I think he definitely did really well in western europe, but there is definitely a lot of room for improvement in eastern europe, for example, i normally name 30 cities in ukraine but he only got 5. But still very great job!

Also impressive, how many easy wins he misses: Cannes (the movie festival), Strasbourg (history, or even The Physician by Noah Gordon passes through), Waterloo (Napoleon, anyone?), Dortmund (football), Odessa (likely the Ukrainian one he didn't remember), and several more. Yeah I was surprised for Strasbourg (the EU parliament is there), Orléans (also in France, and easy to remember for an American because they have New Orleans) and Odessa (usually the only Ukrainian city people remember aside from Kiev). I would say Maastrich in the Netherlands is also relatively known because of the European treaty. Regardless, he still beats me overall I think.

I'm surprised you got my little birthplace Bourges, but missed easier cities to remember in France: Orléans (rather memorable name for an American), Strasbourg (European parliament), Poitiers (think about the English victory in the 100 Years War), Tours (think about the battle which stoped the muslim advance in Europe), Rennes, Montpellier, Lilles.... which are all rather big cities. Still, well done, you know a lot of European cities overall.

This video inspired me to try to get as many 'cities' as possible while not going over 1million total. The 99th put the total a few hundred over 1million. Pretty sure I could do better when I'm sober 😂

@@finnrummygaming I can totally understand that you feel offended! I was just referring to the stereotype that most people from the US don't know much about geography especially outside their own country. I don't know if that is true. But you have to keep in mind that people watching here (like you and me) usually have a strong interest in geography. So you are most likely far ahead of your country average. Or in other words: When it comes to geography you don't look like a typical American. :)
