I had the pleasure of meeting Ruth at the filming of the Stella christmas special, she even put us in as extras. She is completely lovely, down to Earth and couldnt do enough for us....my wife had been unwell, she heard about it down the grape vine from the fan page and invited us by txt message for a day from her own phone. Driver picked us up..the lot. The whole cast and crew were lovely....there was nothing in it for her, shes just a beautiful kind soul.

The way Ruth can quickly get into her Nessa accent is amazing. Loved this video, interviewer was patient and asked all the right questions, and no awkwardness which I find too often in interviews.

The Barry accent is pretty much a Cardiff/Bridgend accent (her accent), with a really common twist.

What a fun and interesting interview. As a girl from Barry who’s lived in Texas for fifty plus years, I never envisioned people would identify my hometown with a movie. Shirley Bassey and Tiger Bay came fairly close. Thank you for putting Barry on the map. Diolch un fawer.

100%. The set is horrible. They're crammed on a tiny loveseat mostly making eye contact with each other, while the interviewer sits on the same dreadful furniture at the far end. Ruth looks so uncomfortable. Great chat though.

Such a wonderful interview but such a deeply strange visual. Why did the interviewer sit so very far away from his subjects? Instead of giving the impression it was an intimate chat, it looked like he suspected Ruth and Rob had ebola. Honestly, was there anything to gain from such a ridiculous stage set up that may as well have had the interviewer shouting questions from the dress circle. I love Ruth and Rob, but please get somebody with more idea of staging next time and interview the subjects as if they want to be near them.

Could you only afford one camera? Not a single close up of the guests or a cut to the audience throughout this entire 1 hour and 11 mins. It made for a very dull viewing.

@@markgwinnell7259 - Hello. Many thanks for both your comments. Indeed, a good interview and great guests. It's fair enough for the audience only getting the one view, but the BAFTA peoples knew this was going to be filmed well in advance and could have (or should have) sorted extra cameras out for the ''other audience'' who would later watch it on a screen. Severe lack of foresight on their part and not at all professional. - All that aside, lets get to the more important issues of the day; As it's a New Year in a matter of hours here in the UK, can I say _''Happy New Year''_ to you, and hope that 2020 is a good one for you. Kind regards and electronic handshakes from across the internet. Dawg
