I love your videos and I am re-tooling my golf swing utilizing your methods. I have envied those golfers who complain about their slices. I hook all my shots, particularly my driver, and no matter what I change in my swing, I still hook! Can’t wait to try out your drill from here.

Unfortunately, Patrick, such sorcery from this dark underworld of golf instruction rarely finds its way to the mainstream because if too many folks found out about it the mainstream would then be rendered irrelevant....... 😎 I'm glad to know that this lesson resonated with you, and I hope it performs well with regard to eliminating those snappers! If so, then perhaps you might consider joining the online school and taking your game to the next level? That's where - in addition to detailed lessons and drills that take you through the entire swing step-by-step from setup to finish - you'll find diagnostic tools for identifying and resolving swing and ball flight issues when they arise as well as all my short game instruction, plus advanced level courses on shot shaping and power/distance. I play on Saturday and I have been top spin hooking with driver. My fix has been to keep the club face open. It will be interesting to see where my finish is. Courses are now open but the driving ranges are closed due to Covid. This will be a mind game Haha

Tom one of your tips that has really helped me hit my irons much more solid is setting up with club handle leaning forward off my left thigh. Only negative is I tend to hit more hooks this way. Can you offer any quick fix for this? Love all your videos!
@SagutoGolf

I'm glad you're enjoying my instruction content, Kelly! It's important to know why the ball is behaving a particular way in order to reverse engineer the cause. The ball is simply responding to the flight plan assigned to it by the clubface at impact. Clubface relative to target line dictates the ball's starting line and face relative to path determines direction and degree of curvature. There's an entire section of my online school dedicated to resolving common swing, contact, and ball flight issues. Have you looked into it? That's where - among many other courses and lessons covering various aspects of the game - you will find very detailed instruction and drills that take you through the entire swing step-by-step from setup to finish. Hi Tom, I’ve improved my game with your tilt and stack and well everything! I’m much better, but some how I’m now hooking with my driver. Not so much with my irons. I want to know if this is sort of a natural occurrence? Of course I found this video and will try it soon. But curious if you’ve seen this happen w other crispy seekers. Thanks. And you are my FDF… favorite deep fryer

LOL! I'm happy to be your King of Krispiness, Andy... 😆 It's not uncommon for success with the longer clubs to take a bit more time to work its way in. It is essentially the same swing with every club; just some minor setup differences and naturally occurring shaft plane changes as we graduate up in club length from short irons to woods. In fact, here is a video of Stack and Tilt co-founder Mike Bennett hitting the driver: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bcydp92qrZnWo3U.html. It looks very similar to his iron swing, right?: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ibKaqriQlqnHZ6M.html Have you considered the comprehensive, structured, sequential learning platform of my online school? That's where - among many other courses and lessons covering various aspects of the game - you will find very detailed instruction and drills that take you through the system step-by-step from setup to finish so you can own the swing throughout your entire bag. So many folks across the globe are now enjoying the best golf of their lives as a result. Feels like the club stays really low when I practice this. Is this the right feeling? My positions seem right and it does straighten my shots, just feels totally weird.

When I do this I have a tendency to put cut on the ball. When I swing too in to out like you said I hook it. I feel like it’s luck when it’s a tight draw.

Hi David, It is important to understand that the videos, lessons, and drills on this free channel - while fully aligned with the swing method I teach - address a variety of topics, issues, feels, and/or common flaws/fixes from one episode to the next. They are certainly not intended to be taken as a comprehensive, sequential learning platform like the structured curriculum of my online school, which I strongly recommend to anyone who truly wishes to get on the proper path towards owning this swing. Hi Tom, I ran across your videos earlier this looking for some tips for better contact consistency with my irons. Your 'shoulder down' and 'weight forward' tips have helped me tremendously with my irons! My driver used to be my most consistent and confident Club but now my irons seem to be! What are your thoughts on why I have developed an ugly snap hook with my driver all of a sudden? It came out of nowhere in the middle of a golf round and I am having a heck of a time trying to fix it🤯
@SagutoGolf
@SagutoGolf 4 жыл бұрын
Dylan - Without seeing it for myself I can only guess at what is happening, and if I guess wrong that may only exacerbate the issue. For this reason my best suggestion would be to schedule an online swing analysis or lesson, either of which you can schedule here: app.v1sports.com/Saguto-Golf Outside of doing that I will risk stepping onto a limb and provide one blind guess here as the fact that you're striping it with the irons offers a clue. If you are hitting a true snap hook with the driver - meaning that the ball is either starting straight or even towards your hook side and then hooking/diving - *but you are hitting nice push draws with your irons* (meaning that you have a good in to out path) - then it may be that you're not pushing (or sliding) your hips forward enough on the downswing with the driver. With the more forward ball position for the driver we need to keep those hips moving laterally further than you think (without losing our swing center, of course) , otherwise the rotation of the hips will take over and instantly change the path. Make sense? Still, with so many possible variables I highly recommend the online analysis. Good luck - I'm sure you'll get it figured out one way or another! Tom

Hi Jeremy, It is very important to understand that the videos, lessons, and drills on this free channel - while fully aligned with the swing method I teach - address a variety of topics, issues, and common flaws/fixes from one episode to the next. They are certainly not intended to be taken as a sequential learning platform like the structured curriculum of my online school, which I strongly recommend to anyone who truly wishes to get on the proper path towards learning and owning this swing. For just $10 US/month or $99 US/year you'll have unlimited access to a comprehensive members-only system for the full swing, the short game, and much more. The school's intuitive course layout greatly simplifies the entire process through succinct, step-by-step videos, and I'm constantly adding new content. This will really put you on the fast track towards learning everything in a well-organized, self-guided fashion. Here's a link if you'd like additional info: saguto.golf/p/golf-swing-simplified-tom-saguto-pga. Best regards, Tom
