A vintage leather suitcase turns out to hold priceless memories for Doris Raymond. For once, she's grateful an item didn't sell. From: L.A FROCK STARS: From Grit to Glamor bit.ly/1ce07CH

The new jewelry isn't my personal taste, but I appreciate Doris's philosophy of using things from the past. so many people "save" their treasures and as such, never get to enjoy them.

How would she not check to see if anything is in the suitcase before putting it on the stall?
@krislatoya75566 жыл бұрын
Sycabara I was thinking it could've been a case where someone asked "what about this old suitcase?" & she just said oh that can go with the other sale items *shrugs*

Thats stupid she never opened that suitcase .

Ikr, it can't be that light that she wouldn't suspect something was in it
@michelegraham90444 жыл бұрын
Rachel Garber she often chooses stuff when shopping & just leaves it with the dealer to pick up at the end of the day. She’d looked at it all day. It’s a good looking suitcase to sell in the store or use as a prop there. Feasible to me.

why doesnt she just give it to shelly, at least she was talented and knew how to work with vintage pieces

Agreed, but I think Shelly is not as established nor experienced like Shonnia. And maybe, they have been friends longer. If I'm not wrong, Shelly has just started as one of the assistants in her shop. No doubt, Shelly has the passion and talent though. Wonder, if this show is still on, I watched it years ago.

Love this! What a wonderful treasure. So freaky. I too, was close to my father as well. He once worked in the Jade trade through NOLA.

lightweight suitcases are a pretty new idea that came amount mainly due to weight restrictions on airlines. That suitcase likely weights several pounds/KGs empty, being made of wood, metal and leather.

I mean the necklace is actually quite nice but the brooch is like hot glued on

I really despise Sonia's jewelry; it's as if a toddler got their hands on vintage jewels and glued them together randomly, but hey, we need all kinds of taste in this world..
@natalie82125 жыл бұрын
Agreed! It's terrible, and does no justice to the history or value of the parts she uses. If anything, she's depreciating the value of everything.

Like others, I call BS. That suitcase certainly weighed enough, filled with jewelry parcels as it was, to prompt a check before hauling it off to a trade show. Utter crap.

How was she so emotional about almost giving away her dads antique jewelry... so she decided to give it away to some crafty “designer” to make what a high school student thinks is cool.
@luhole4 жыл бұрын
hagglemyivan she wasn’t emotional about almost giving it away, she was emotional about finding it.

I know they have to come up with stories to make the show, but this is too much, an insult to anybody’s intelligence. The only ones that believe the story about the suitcase are themselves.
