I was a foster mom to over 30 children. Sibling separation in foster is a huge ordeal. We need to start demanding laws and policies that can do a better job at keeping siblings in the same homes. When all options fail, we need to make ongoing contact mandatory :-( I'm speaking from both sides of foster care.

They're bio momma and daddy made beautiful children! Definitely those eyes Shawnie is pretty but Lord have mercy Luke is just unrealistically fine! This story made me cry because I'm a younger sister too and being ripped away from my brother like that is something I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. I've been separated from by my brother but because he went to college then joined the military and almost immediately sent to enemy lines. The feeling of just knowing he was there and rarely knowing how he was or where he was for periods at a time or not knowing if he was coming home on his own two feet is the worse feeling in the world. He's my only sibling and thinking he could be taken away from me is something I never want to feel again and thank God he came home honorably discharged from the Air Force and now he's a chef in Hawaii.

My little sister and I reunited in 2013 after being separated in 1983. 30 years. She was one I was seven when we were separated. She didn't remember me, but found out that she was illegally adopted by her sperm donor's family, and found out about me. I have been looking for her all this time. And she finally found me and that was the best Thing I could've ever asked for

I know the feeling of living life not complete. I'm 47 years old. I have a baby sitter that was adopted in 1980. Its been 40 years. I feel alone because I do remember my sister even though she was just a baby. I only have a first name that she was born with. I try to find her but it seems almost impossible with just a first name. This was a very beautiful reunion on that video.

In 1981, my mom put me on a bus. She was sending me to Michigan from Washington State. She didn't tell me where I was going, only that the driver knew where to let me off. 6 weeks later after her husband beat the crap out of my baby brother, she dumped him (literally) at a police station in Nevada. She got her knees and told him to his face that she did not love him and never had. Then she drove away. Last year in 2021, my brother found me. We went 40 years without speaking to each other. It was a wonderful 8 months. He won't talk to me now. I am glad these siblings found each other. They are very lucky. It sucks when you are not wanted by your family.
