Dear Grace, a little late to the party but… firstly nice vid. Always good to see Scotland. Secondly good for you getting Blacks involved. It’s your channel so you do what you want if the jealous wringers can’t cope with someone doing well then that’s on them, not you. Keep up the excellent content and know that your channel is appreciated.👍

Nice video! And don’t worry about the “commercial moaners” - you made it clear in the title it’s something a bit different, nothing wrong with that and we’ve all got to make a living (not saying you are from this!). So people choose to click or not - fair play to you for scooping a well known brand!

Don't worry about the negatives Grace, just think how many individuals you have inspired in the recent years. That number itself outweighs the number of unhappy viewers. Not all videos will be as popular as some of your other works but you absolutely have the right to take the opportunity and get sponsored for what you do. Nobody forces those viewers to watch your content or spend money at Blacks. Just ignore them and carry on with what you are doing. ;-)

Unfortunately when you become more popular you also become a target for negativity. Grace as in everything in life as you progress people come in and leave your life it’s the same here , as you progress with channel. By viewing , liking or commenting some have a sense of ownership of your path but you are the only one with that power , you need to reach out if you want to grow so always look at opportunities and if there right for you grab them . For every one that will leave 3 more will join you on a new journey .

So this is just an advert for Blacks. They gave some people some kit to walk around in some mountain scenery based on the number of subscribers they have on youtube. The goal - to make us buy stuff!!! Was a great channel in the beginning but this instalment really is disappointing in terms of decent content and didn't really depict a "Hiking Adventure". The title used the word "EPIC" - yet the video is just plain ordinary and not very impressive at all.
@GracesAdventures
@GracesAdventures 2 жыл бұрын
I’m confused. We still did the hike.. still climbed mountains. Were out for 10hrs. How does the fact that blacks provided the kit (which kept us dry and warm which is quite important) take away from the experience? But yes it says in the title “with Blacks” as they kindly sponsored one of my videos which is awesome for me.
@GracesAdventures

@@flash4tech so according to a stranger on KZfaq I’m not allowed to work alongside my passion? Do you know how much money I spend on the hours and hours of travel and the kit and the accommodation and the tech for filming and the subscriptions for editing. If I occasionally get offered a job that also benefits me with kit, too right I’m taking it. I’ll continue to deliver the videos i always have, for myself. not for anyone else.

Yes the outdoors are 24/7, but sadly Blacks and others don’t cater for all sizes, if you are a large male, say 46 or greater waist, larger than xxl, then you cannot get branded goods. Or is it that large active fit people aren’t wanted.

I’m not quite as man as this but I recently struggled to find any walking trousers that fit. I’ve opted for some Rab leggings that I’ll wear shorts over. I’ve been fortunate with coats, and I choose to invest in boots. Walking poles are my issue, often they slip back into each other and none can handle my weight. Or should I say strength..?

@@jonnym7751 sorry to jump in on this: Although I sort of agree- it would be good to help to bring attention to smaller independent companies- Grace needs to be approached by these companies and for them to be willing to offer their support on her adventures for this to happen. If they do, then great and kudos to Grace for putting herself in a position to benefit from brands wishing to use her and her channel as a platform for their own advertising. If Blacks had approached me I would grab hold of such opportunities with both hands! I have a small KZfaq channel and following and know how much time and effort is involved in trying to maintain- let alone grow- an audience. You’ve done and are doing amazing, so ignore any haters- don’t even give them your time in responding or validating why you’ve done something a certain way. Good luck and keep adventuring! Oh and if you haven’t already, check out Alpkit- awesome kit, great company ethos and have grown from a tiny little two man band into a proper bonafide brand- another British success!

@@GracesAdventures sorry if I have touched a nerve but it's just the truth. I know "wow, great video!" Is easy to hear..but watch your video with independent eyes. What did you achieve? What have you personally experienced that was rewarding? @@GracesAdventures well, that's true but if you want your channel to grow and people to watch your content I would reflect on the many comments I have now read, some being quite negative unfortunately. @@dcbrit2003 your mistake is thinking that I create my videos purely for views/likes/subscribes. I don’t. I always have and always will put out whatever content I want to as it’s my channel. That’s probably why it’s naturally done well because it’s authentic and true to myself. That won’t change. If people watch, great. If they don’t, that’s fine too. It’s a shame that not everyone is so supportive of a great opportunity that has come my way. You’re talking about “if I want my channel to grow”… well it is, hence this sponsorship.
